- Hey everyone! We went back out to where we had caught those beavers for the landowner and busted out the remaining dams along the stream. Hopefully his pastures will dry out so the cows can return.

The market for beaver fur is pretty steady this year so I may sell them this year. I’ve been saving them up for some trade shows also. I think they will sell good there too. Going to go for a quiet deer hunt tonight and also got given a dehydrator for Christmas so have prepared some venison Biltong for the first time. Be interesting how it turns out. Over here some guys hunt the Australian Brush Tailed Possum (big pest) and pluck the fur they mix with merino wool and makes extremely nice garments. Trust all is well with you Buddy! 🇺🇸 🇳🇿

I’m a first year trapper in Georgia and I’ve caught a couple critters but I caught my first otter today.I’m gonna have it mounted but I saw that if it’s exported across state line you have to get a cites tag but I was wondering if you keep it in state to get mounted if you have to get it tagged.
Hey Logan! Congratulations brother. An otter is a great catch. I know when I send my furs to get tanned I have to get a tag and I may be wrong but I think the taxidermist requires a tag also. Best thing would be to call DNR out at the Social Circle office and get the rule on that. I’d hate to tell ya wrong. I hope you continue to have good luck on your line and I hope this helped out. Hey Walter! I’d say close to a year. The landowner is in his 80s and I think he just let it get way out of hand. I thought it was recently until I saw it. We may have to blow it next time if it’s that bad again. I hope you’re doin good and enjoying the holidays. 🙂🇺🇸🔥👍👍
