Vanitas does get pretty easy when you know his attacks. Best way to counter his DM is to just not let him DM. If you smack him in a "windup phase" he uses before actually going into DM, you just shut it down. All you really need to do.
Ironically, Saix's DM is the only part of the fight that doesn't looks like a DM. Yes, his DM is when he runs wildly and throws his weapons on you one by one

If you struggle where he turns into a card and mixes with others, of you glide above them you can tell which card is a circle due to them following you slower than the others
Losermanwins actually had a secret advantage that made things easier for him and I don't think he even knew about when fighting Saix. Nano Arms, usually not a great keyblade is tremendous for this fight because when Saix throws the spinning weapons (not the ones that stick in the ground) if they connect with you, you are stunned for a couple seconds and he just finishes you off. These are unblockable too so Nano Arms' ability of Stun Protection is a HUGE buff for this fight.

MX and Saix are definitely close. For me Saix edges it out because while MX attacks are more punishing, i think once they're learned they're a lot more consistent to dodge compared to some of Saix's attacks. Thanks for watching!
Its a really great list! Personally I would rank Dark Riku way way lower just because he never was a challenge to me for some reason, but overal really well put
Camileytor funny you say that, I just had to go outside and take a breather because I can’t get my timing down with Dark Riku. Idk why he’s so tough for me
His dodge reflga is easily punishable since he stays in the guard animation untill the attacks end even then you can dodge out its blast radius since its not that large and get back in to punish him when he is suppose to beating his face in this in my opinion should knock him down a bit on anyone list
I loved the young xehanort fight. It was the only fight in probably the entirety of kh that felt like he’s fighting back in real time thanks to all of the attack and dodge prompts and his interactions with them. I’d love another fight with a similar mechanic
Some of these bosses are fine. Although some movesets can be tricky to deal with or they get a guard fail. Most known is always Xemnas during DM and Xion's double overhead slash. Also, airstep is usable in battle and probably the coolest tech for this game. Not using it in data fight for this game is a huge handicap when KH3 had very big arena. Man, I wish I knew early on Aerial Dodge is not a double jump in this game. Its literally the worst version of airslide with like 2 feet away. So I always remove this ability, though some form changes really forces you to equip this and during underwater/tutorial combat.
On Critical, I have done 8 of them so far, have yet to finish all. 8. Larxene 7. Dark Riku 6. Luxord ----- 5. Vanitas 4. Terranort 3. Xigbar ----- 2. Marluxia 1. Saix
Idk if I got extremely lucky, but I just first-tried dark Riku on crit by just button mashing and counter attacking. Didn't even know what was going on, but I kept finding openings and getting combos in, and I just glided around untouched during his DM. Xion was by far the worst on crit for me, she fakes you out a lot while she's bouncing around so if you just spam block every time she bounces, you get punished hard, so you have to learn her attack patterns, and can't just get lucky like most of the other bosses. Xeonort was pretty tough too, but didn't take nearly as long as Xion for me. Yozora is obviously the toughest if he's included, but that kind of goes without saying.
My personnal list from easiest to hardest, on Crit at LV42 : 13- Luxord : Easiest one without a shadow of a doubt, this is just some easy mini-games, his DM is long but one of the easiest to figure out, and he has such a small moveset, and also his Time Gauge go down way to fast, this is the one Data that think is a complete miss opportunity. 12- Young Xehanort : Really straightforward fight, one of the easiest to learn, tougher than Luxord cause he has a larger moveset, and his moves are faster, one disappointment is his DM, I don't know if they did a mistake while programming it but you can actually stop his DM with just one counter, which honnestly make his DM the easiest to deal with accross all the data. 11- Xion : Might surprise some but for me she isn't hard, she is as straightforward as Young Xehanort, only reason I put her higher that YX is her openings are a little more tricky to found, and her DM while one of the easiest, still pose more trouble than YX's one. 10- Vanitas : I put him this low because you can easily skip the DM, to be honnest if we couldn't skip the DM I would have rank him much higher cause he has one of the toughest DM to deal with, but the fast we can easily and consistantly skip it makes Vanitas a LOT easier. Tougher than Xion and Young Xehanort cause he actually has 2 different set of pattern so he is harder to learn, and he has one attack on the second phase that to me is pretty hard to react to. 9- Ansem : The closest thing to a trap master in the Data Battles, which is why he is higher that the previous one, his bomb can actually be really annoying sometime they follow you to the end of the world interrupting your combo sometime they dont, his DM has some weird stuff that can screw you up (sometime his 2 Dark Balls follow him poorly and can end up hitting while you are comboing him), his second DM is also a tough one to deal with. 8- Larxene : Is pretty easy to learn overall, the tough is when she start using the clones, I have a really hard time with that part, also some of her attacks in second phase can be tricky. 7- Xigbar He really try to stay out of your reach, he has a lot of openings actually but they are pretty hard to figure out at first, his DM is also pretty rough for me, and he has one attack where he shots 3 Blue Lasers and then start shooting unblokeable lasers, honnestly have no idea how to deal with that attack. 6- Terranort He is this high for one reason, that freaking Ars Solum, his Ars Solum come out really fast and start with an unblockeable hitn it isn't that bad once you learn it, but then in second phase he has an improve version of it where the entire thing is unblockeable this version of Ars Solum was to me the toughest part of the fight, even harder to deal with than his actual DM, outside that that he isn't that bad, but that upgrade Ars Solum really make him harder than he should for me. 5- Xemnas Leaving ? One of the most fun fight for me, pretty tough cause he has some pretty fast attacks, and his vines are pretty tricky and make the fight really confusing at first, once you learn his attack it becomes more manageable, but then come the DM, IMO my favorite DM out of all the Data but one of the hardest to learn, took me a long time to figure out how to deal with the entire thing, then he phase 2 he changes his patterns quite a lot making him tougher overall. 4- Marluxia Might surprise some, first I want to say this is my favorite Data, this fight is just a work of art and really do justice to Marluxia's character. Anyway reason I place him here is because he isn't as scripted as some of the other fight and can actually chain his attacks differently making him less base on memorization and more on anticipation, also he has a tendancy to mix blockeable and unblockeable attacks in same combos more than the previous one making him harder to learn for me, his DM can be tough to learn at first and his final DM is really stressfull ^^ 3- Master Xehanort IMO this is how the final boss should have been, lot of mixes between blockeable and unblockeable attack, the bomb's explosion can also freeze you making leading to an easy death if you aren't carefull, his lasers can be rough, and his opening are hard to found at first, then there is his DM, one of the most insane DM accross all the Data not only is it one of the longuest it's also one where you have to deal with both blockeable and unblockeable attacks. Then after the DM he has even more attacks and more tricky to deal with that before. 2- Dark Riku Hands down the most intense and fast pace fight out of all the Data. Dark Riku is really not screwing around this time, he is fast, he attacks almost non stop, and he is brutal and his DM is insane. Honnestly I hated that fight at first cause at first it really looks like a chaotic and bullshit fight, but upon retrying it he is actually a really fun fight, his opening are some of the toughest to found and not easy to see through but they are for the most part consistant, the mines can actually be use against him which is pretty neat. 1- Saix This is the Data fight that I struggle the most took me 3 days to beat this fucker the first time, boy is this fight hard he doesn't look to bad at first but once he goes to Berserk LV2, he becomes insane with really fast attacks that took me a while to memorize, also his openings for me are really hard to figure, his stun effect leave you dead at any mistake. But honnestly he wouldn't be as hard as Riku if it wasn't for his DM, cause OH boy his fucking DM can go to hell this is for me the hardest DM to deal with and the only reason Saix is this high, any mistakes can leave you stun leading to a guaranteed Death, his trajectory seems random for the most part making it really hard to avoid when you have to also dodge the claymores that come at you from time to time, honnestly his fucking DM was the only part accross all the Data Fight I was on the verge of smashing my controller to the ground. I probably lack practise, maybe there is a strat to it that I didn't see, but personnaly I don't know how to survive his DM constantly, making it the only fight I currently feel I can die at random.
@@zeoblack9057 It's tricky to do but you can actually use the mines explosion to do a counter if Dark Riku is clos, if well position you expand your combo and since Counter don't add to Revenge Value this means you'll effectivly do more Damage.
Yea I just started the data battles yesterday and I started with young xehanort and it took me 2hrs to finally win but dark riku whupping my ass like I owe him money 😂😂
For xigbar, if you see him teleport to the opposite side of the field and put the guns together, flowchain to him before he gets it off, this will prevent the unblockable attack and give you an opening (flowchain trivializes xigbar). This also works in the first phase version. The timing is a little strict, and you'll probably have to predict the move instead of react. For Dark Riku I advise not hitting his RV as it covers a lot of his openings for the attack that follows his counter attack. Now Siax is by far one of my favorite fights because it's so stressful, for his Dm; I don't even know, I just fudged my way through it.
So for me the hardest was xion everybody else I beat within the first 1-5 tries yozura took me 3 days. I beat marluxia and larxene on the first try honestly both were underwhelming to me.
Xigbar so far for me was so annoying. basically I didnt figure out how to get the openings for him only getting him with the refectory projectiles and the showdown. it took me 45-60 mins to get down.
I just continued on with my data organization run and am only finished with 5/13 battles. I agree with #13 and #12 but I feel like Marluxia and Dark Riku were listed a bit too high. Terra Xehanort probably belongs in his spot, but his attacks were easy to get down. That being said, I'll probably stick close to your list.
Hot take and my personal opinion: I hated these fights the first time I played this. Hours and hours of rage to the point where I just looked up a no damage video just to know where the openings are. Sorry I’m not going to waste more of my time looking for what I block and counter (I’m looking at you Saix). The one I enjoy were Young Xehanort. He was challenging and fun
I mean he definitely took me like 6 hours to beat on Crit when I initially did them. Both of my wins against him involved stopping his DM so if you can do that, he's not so bad. His DM is complete bullshit though, I watched a No Damage crit run and still don't understand how anyone can not be hit by that at no less than 10 times.
Xaldin, Zexion ("Book Guy"), Demyx and Vexen ("Shield Guy") returned in KHIII as their original human forms: Dilan, Ienzo, (unknown name) and Even. Then, Demyx and Vexen turned into nobodies once again in order to be "reserve members" of the Real Org. while the other two returned to his former homeworld, Hollow Bastion/Radiant Garden TLDR: They "bothered" to include them, but as they were never true Real Org. XIII members (you don't even fight them in III) they weren't recreated during limit-cut
Yep, specially because of proper optimization. For example in Pro-Codes (difficulty doesn't matter that much with them around as long as you doesn't rely too much on magic) some bosses that can be defeated easily in normal difficulties such as Dark Riku, Ansem, Xemnas and Terra-Xehanort become terrifying
I don't get how dark riku and vanitas is aways so high for a lot of people for me Xemnas and Xion were the hardest then Saix and Terranort. I went in with absolutely 0 strategy with vanitas just to test him out and beat him on my first try and did the same with dark riku and beat him on my 2nd or 3rd try just brute forcing everything lmao got lucky I guess. Did the same thing with marluxia larxene young xehanort and xigbar.
I believe its a matter of perspective. Mostly people struggle because they don't know how to approach said bosses and fight them successfully. Seeing how boss arenas are huge and if you come from previous games, you wouldn't think to apply airstep outside traversing and exploration immediately. And coming out of a tech Demo, Aqua didn't have way to close gap outside of airslide and her aerial spiral attack. It takes time to learn, varied by each people. You wouldn't expect a boss who never shut up is actually leaving himself open from attacking relentlessly. I not sure what to expect from Vanitas and Terranort because BBS experience isn't great due to poor Boss design breaking out of attacks randomly and super armor through attacks. Saix is understandable because his most of his attacks break your guards and he stuns you. Xemnas crowd control can make you rage quit because it seems random when you're new to his fight.
You know, the way he pronounced it is actually the right one. Vanitas is a Latin word, and it is pronounced Vanne-tas, not Van knee tas. I'm Italian and have studied latin, and it always makes me laugh how bad english speaking people are at pronouncing latin words XD
I didn’t like the data battles in this game. I liked KH3, but I felt the data battles changed everything too much. Some did at well. Many did not. Here are my thoughts from good to bad Good: Vanitas: music was awesome, I felt like I didn’t have to spam cure all the time and I felt more controlled Marluxia: I liked his battle in KH2 and CoM so I was bound to like this fight Larxene: fun but maybe a little to easy Terra: I didn’t like the process of learning him but when I did, I loved it Meh: Ansem: almost no times to attack and DM sucks Xemnas: I hated it when I did it on standard but on critical I was smiling through the fight but I still don’t like his DM Master xehanort: This is when I started to not like the fights. Too much is going on and I started getting overwhelmed where I just spammed attack and hoped for the best. That’s not good Xigbar: guard and Simba for life but I felt after showdown the fight got to repetitive and boring Bad: Luxord: I hated his data battle In KH2 and I hated this one too. The problem is that there is no RC to use to help make the fight easier but keep the tension high Saïx: Like luxord, no RC to help and I hate how everything in his blue berserk is unblockable and the weapons dazing you is so annoying Young xehanort: I hated his fight in BBS and DDD and I hated the time stopping. It’s better then those 2 fights but that’s not a high bar to get over Dark Riku: an inferior version of Ansem and the DM and dark reflect is annoying as hell And finally Xion: goddamn too much was happening. Thank god ariel exist otherwise I would never beat this fight which says how annoying it is. I hate the fact that your HP is lowered and unlike yozora, there aren’t many times you can attack after so it feels like your at a rush for saving. That’s my thoughts on the battles

He is this high for one reason, that freaking Ars Solum, his Ars Solum come out really fast and start with an unblockeable hitn it isn't that bad once you learn it, but then in second phase he has an improve version of it where the entire thing is unblockeable this version of Ars Solum was to me the toughest part of the fight, even harder to deal with than his actual DM, outside that that he isn't that bad, but that upgrade Ars Solum really make him harder than he should for me.
5- Xemnas
Leaving ? One of the most fun fight for me, pretty tough cause he has some pretty fast attacks, and his vines are pretty tricky and make the fight really confusing at first, once you learn his attack it becomes more manageable, but then come the DM, IMO my favorite DM out of all the Data but one of the hardest to learn, took me a long time to figure out how to deal with the entire thing, then he phase 2 he changes his patterns quite a lot making him tougher overall.
4- Marluxia
Might surprise some, first I want to say this is my favorite Data, this fight is just a work of art and really do justice to Marluxia's character. Anyway reason I place him here is because he isn't as scripted as some of the other fight and can actually chain his attacks differently making him less base on memorization and more on anticipation, also he has a tendancy to mix blockeable and unblockeable attacks in same combos more than the previous one making him harder to learn for me, his DM can be tough to learn at first and his final DM is really stressfull ^^
3- Master Xehanort
IMO this is how the final boss should have been, lot of mixes between blockeable and unblockeable attack, the bomb's explosion can also freeze you making leading to an easy death if you aren't carefull, his lasers can be rough, and his opening are hard to found at first, then there is his DM, one of the most insane DM accross all the Data not only is it one of the longuest it's also one where you have to deal with both blockeable and unblockeable attacks. Then after the DM he has even more attacks and more tricky to deal with that before.
2- Dark Riku
Hands down the most intense and fast pace fight out of all the Data.
1- Saix
This is the Data fight that I struggle the most took me 3 days to beat this fucker the first time, boy is this fight hard he doesn't look to bad at first but once he goes to Berserk LV2, he becomes insane with really fast attacks that took me a while to memorize, also his openings for me are really hard to figure, his stun effect leave you dead at any mistake.
Thanks for taking the time to write this, loved reading it!
How can the mines be used against dark riku
Dont worry these fights on crit were hell
You saved yourself
I played on Crit, Xion was my most rewarding. I liked Young Xehanort and Terranort fights the most.
For the max health being lowered I learned panacea was a thing... Really should read these items more
I might spell some of these names wrong don't judge me lmao
My ranking:
13: vanitas
12: luxord
11: larxene
10: xigbar
9: marluxia
8: young xehanort
7: terranort
6: ansem
5: xemnas
4: dark riku
3: xion
2: siax
1: xehanort
So for me the hardest was xion everybody else I beat within the first 1-5 tries yozura took me 3 days. I beat marluxia and larxene on the first try honestly both were underwhelming to me.
The way I beat dark riku first was he didnt use his DM and so i was lucky
11:48 This is probably worse than whoever tried to pronounce Kazuya’s name in a Smash facts video as “Kazwho-a”
Xigbar so far for me was so annoying. basically I didnt figure out how to get the openings for him only getting him with the refectory projectiles and the showdown. it took me 45-60 mins to get down.
Just git gud
You’re insane on the Vanitas fight. I would put him near the bottom with Luxord.
You crazy as hell vanitas is definitely one of the hardest what you playing on beginner?
He's easy if you know the thunder trick.
@@RichardsonAntwan easy to learn and cheese.
I beat saix in my first try lmao(on proud btw)
There's no Xaldin, That Book guy, Demyx, The Shield guy, They never bothered to include them and am I missing anymore?
Xaldin, Zexion ("Book Guy"), Demyx and Vexen ("Shield Guy") returned in KHIII as their original human forms: Dilan, Ienzo, (unknown name) and Even. Then, Demyx and Vexen turned into nobodies once again in order to be "reserve members" of the Real Org. while the other two returned to his former homeworld, Hollow Bastion/Radiant Garden
TLDR: They "bothered" to include them, but as they were never true Real Org. XIII members (you don't even fight them in III) they weren't recreated during limit-cut
I beat everybody besides Master Xehanort. Tips anybody? (I know I still have Yozora too.)
See if you can stay airborne like this guy. Looks easier to avoid his AOE attacks this way.

How to get to the place?
VAN-NA-TASS
I gave you your 100th like on this vid bro ^^
This just makes me more confused as to why the only one I’ve been able to beat is Marluxia lol
Marluxia is made to teach the player more then the others
So based on difficulty modes, the list can differ?
Van-it-tass..... and not on critical. Oooooh boy lol
Siax was by far the hardest for me
The hardest fight was Vanitas and the easiest fight was Larxene in my opinion
Vanitas sucks butt till you realize you can use thunder so he doesn't DM
I hate to be that 🤓”erm, actually” person, but Vanitas is actually pronounced Vun-ee-tas.
The way you said Vanitas make me cringe so damn hard. Vanitas/(Van-Knee-tas) not (Vanne-tas)
You know, the way he pronounced it is actually the right one. Vanitas is a Latin word, and it is pronounced Vanne-tas, not Van knee tas. I'm Italian and have studied latin, and it always makes me laugh how bad english speaking people are at pronouncing latin words XD
Dark Riku should be 13
Got my axed recked hard...
Xion be at 7 Is bs
Absent is by far the easiest data fight I ever fought I beat him my first try I was even getting hit by almost everything.
Ansem
Where is terranort
7:03
Vah-knee-tus
Yozora fuckin hard!!
VANITAS !
vany tass
VAN IT ASS? Really? Hahahahaha
I didn’t like the data battles in this game. I liked KH3, but I felt the data battles changed everything too much. Some did at well. Many did not. Here are my thoughts from good to bad
Good:
Vanitas: music was awesome, I felt like I didn’t have to spam cure all the time and I felt more controlled
Marluxia: I liked his battle in KH2 and CoM so I was bound to like this fight
Larxene: fun but maybe a little to easy
Terra: I didn’t like the process of learning him but when I did, I loved it
Meh:
Ansem: almost no times to attack and DM sucks
Xemnas: I hated it when I did it on standard but on critical I was smiling through the fight but I still don’t like his DM
Master xehanort: This is when I started to not like the fights. Too much is going on and I started getting overwhelmed where I just spammed attack and hoped for the best. That’s not good
Xigbar: guard and Simba for life but I felt after showdown the fight got to repetitive and boring
Bad:
Luxord: I hated his data battle In KH2 and I hated this one too. The problem is that there is no RC to use to help make the fight easier but keep the tension high
Saïx: Like luxord, no RC to help and I hate how everything in his blue berserk is unblockable and the weapons dazing you is so annoying
Young xehanort: I hated his fight in BBS and DDD and I hated the time stopping. It’s better then those 2 fights but that’s not a high bar to get over
Dark Riku: an inferior version of Ansem and the DM and dark reflect is annoying as hell
And finally Xion: goddamn too much was happening. Thank god ariel exist otherwise I would never beat this fight which says how annoying it is. I hate the fact that your HP is lowered and unlike yozora, there aren’t many times you can attack after so it feels like your at a rush for saving.
That’s my thoughts on the battles
dark riku is not hard at all my son even beat him lol...xion and master xehanort are the hardest for me.
Unblockable attacks are dumb and annoying
vanehtahs
