You always make it look so easy and explain so clearly not making people who watch feel like idiots if they can't grasp it first time thank you 😮😮 how wonderful can't wait to see finished quilt
I think that this has to be one of the prettiest quilts that I’ve ever seen. I can’t believe how quickly you’ve managed to construct this. Great results.
I think this quilt that you made is absolutely stunning. Beautiful. I can see there’s a lot of work involved in this. The light pink on your border is really beautiful. It was a good decision. However, if you had never said anything to anyone only you would’ve known. Nobody really would’ve thought anything about the other border because it was nice too. This is better though. I have learned over the years sometimes I just had to make do with what I had. And I look back at it many years later and I think to myself this quote looks good. I don’t know why I didn’t like it really looks wonderful. So time passes and sometimes our perspectivechanges along with it. But you did have joy and making the quilt and your love every day getting up and looking at it. It’s a part of you laying around wherever it’s gonna be.
Your quilt is absolutely gorgeous!!! I think your choices for the border, binding, and backing are perfect. I would love to see a video on your method for hand piecing hexies as I have only done them with papers. I look forward to more videos from you. So happy! 😊
Quite q lovely quilt. I would place a hexi flower on each corner of the quilt and pink border between the hexi flowers. Beautiful fabrics equal a beautiful quilt. Thanks for sharing
I'm sorry for not staying up but going through physical therapy has not been easy. I love your videos. Not giving up. But I've not been able to sew for a while due to my M.S. but keep doing well. We love you Rachel. Susanna
Good decision to change to the softer pink for the border. I think the other brighter fabric would make a nice binding for that hexagon quilt that's on the design wall. Loved seeing the finished liberty quilt top in the garden.
Hello! I am in love with Liberty and as of yet had the courage to cut into any of if it but to see your gorgeous quilt there I think no time like the present. Having said that I would very much love to see you hand stitch those bigger hexie's in a video if you can. I do EPP but would be interested in learning your hand sewing as well. Your quilt by the way is so pretty and an inspiration to me. I am quite new to your channel so I plan to go to the beginning of this quilt and watch. Thank you and keep on with Liberty!😊
So beautiful! Your choice of borders are perfect. I loved the burgundy one you put in the beginning and using it as a binding will look great. I’ve bought some liberty fabrics wanting to make a quilt but now realise I need a lot more varied prints! Yours is wonderful and thank you for sharing it 😊
Hi Rachel. Your videos are a joy to watch. I'm new to quilt making and you have inspired me alot. I'm finishing my first flying goose quilt which has had ups and downs but its OK ,like you say its where we are! I'm off to to the quilt fair too as I am already planning my next quilt. I love your honesty and humble approach to the process. I have osteoarthritis in my hands which has made my joints swell so I would be interested in a hand piecing video, as my hands do ache. Diane
Oh it's amazing Rachel! The softer pink border is spot on! I also have a 2 inch hexagon on the go at the moment just using bits of every fabric I have along with all scraps I can get into it😅 love your creativity!
Such a pretty quilt. I know how brave it was of you to cut into your liberty for backing. Awhile I bought a sari cotton (similar texture to liberty). It is the softest, cuddliest quilt I've ever made ❤❤❤
Yes please to a hand piecing video. I don’t know what this is and I too have problems with my hands from gripping when doing English paper piecing. Loving all of your videos and always look forward to the next one xxx
It's gorgeous Rachel 😍 I am looking forward to seeing it finished. I am hand quilting a Christmas table runner at the moment. I also have an English paper pieced quilt ready to layer and then hand quilt. I'm using the same thread as you, and I really like it too. I'm using a size 9 hand embroidery needle, which I find just perfect for me. It's nice and long and sharp too.. Just thought I would pop that on in case anyone is looking for a needle to try ❤
Oh so beautiful! It's like looking into a huge kaleidoscope filled with lovely gems. I would love to see a tutorial on hexies. Bonus round: I could listen to your voice (accent) for hours, so refreshing. Great job on a lovely quilt.
Absolutely beautiful! You have excellent taste in choosing colors and a wonderful quilter. I have followed your example and made my first small house FPP. I may get bold enough to try this quilt.
Gorgeous quilt, it was definitely a good decision to change the pink border. The back of the quilt is so pretty. This quilt deserves that beautiful backing. ❤
What an utterly beautiful quilt! The soft pink is much nicer for the border - good call! Also I’m so happy you share and talk about traditional hand piecing. It seems EPP is a lot more popular currently but I just adore traditional hand piecing. It’s a lot faster too! Though there is more ironing involved 🫣😄
Beautiful just beautiful!!! I loved seeing the fabrics close up and found myself saying “Oh, I have that one too!” I just finished my 18th square of the Alice book. Thank you for your help. I too have done a non Liberty for the background and am using some of my stash as well as the Liberty I have. I also just ordered some more as I find the squares lend themselves to the smaller all over prints from Alice. I am finally over my brain mush syndrome, just like you said as well. So thankful for your thoughtful help. Jean Colorado USA
Love this quilt. All the fabrics are colours & small florals that I prefer. As a whole it is so pretty. The light pink outer border is perfect & the backing is beautiful.
Oh my goooooodness Rachel!!! It is STUNNING!! 😍😍😍 I can honestly say that I have never had a huge affinity to pinks, but watching your fabric selections in past videos, started to peak my interest. And now, now I really must make this quilt!! It's just so romantical and I lovesss it!! 😍😍😍💖💖💖 Also...please, please share all your tips and tricks on how you manage to get a quilt top done sooo fast, be it machine sewing or hand quilting!! I'm here for it! Lol! I'm a stay at home mom, so theoretically, I have the time? But my adhd has me all over the place 0_o, any help would be loved and appreciated! Lol😅❤
What a beautiful quilt. Lots of flying geese, hour glass blocks. You are sure to enjoy the memories you have created. There is nothing like the feel of the Liberty fabrics.
Good afternoon Rachel. I know how you feel about that Fabric. I bought some Fabric mini mini years ago. Paid a lot of money for it. Made some beautiful bedroom valances with it. I got sick of it after 30 years. Wanted to make something different or buy something different. So I did. Well I throw that fabric out, no no. The fabric was the best of its kind and its day. I paid a lot of money for it. It’s still beautiful Fabric. I’m making a hexagon quilt with flowers cutting. It’s gonna be beautiful when it’s done and then I’ll have enough to make a quilt, which I think I’m going to do so I’m going to make a table runner, and a lap size quilt. I’m really looking forward to it. Your quilt is absolutely stunning. I love your liberty fabrics I even like the clothes you wear. Looks like they’re made out of liberty fabrics they’re gorgeous. Limit yourself to start with with your handstitching. As much as you wanna do it, and I know, self-discipline will save a lot of time doing without. Thank you for your sharing.
Rachel, your work is so so lovely. The colors you pick are so aligned to what I like, as well as the printed material, it is just so gorgeous. Thank you. I have learned so much from you. You explain all you do which is a big plus. Looking forward to your next video.
What a beautiful quilt & I think your choice to go ahead and cut that liberty fabric for the backing is spot on❣️And yes, that new border is much better…goes perfectly ☺️
This quilt reminds me of dazzling gems with the beautiful colors. Perfect choice of border and binding, and what a perfect use of such a glorious fabric you used for the backing. You will be able to enjoy it in it's fullness. Really lovely.
Yes I would love to see how you put the 2” hexagon together. I love the colors for the binding on the The almost finished quilt. Such a beautiful quilt. I always love your choices in quilts and patterns that you use for all of your ear things you’ve got such an eye for pretty stuff. Thanks for sharing again.😊
Yes, yes, and yes! The border, binding, and backing are all spot on! The quilt is just stunning-it seems to shimmer with all the beautiful pastels. P.S. I love your hairstyle. Very summery and cool.
You did a great job, Rachel! How nice of Mr. Stitch to get you a new iron. I would like to see how you hand sew the hexagons together. I’m going to a quilt retreat at Missouri Star next week and I’m hoping to find some Liberty Fabric.
Wow, what beautiful piecing and quilting. I cannot believe your productivity. You are amazing. Thank you for the great videos, your enthusiasm is infectious. Cannot wait to see the finished quilt.
You always make it look so easy and explain so clearly not making people who watch feel like idiots if they can't grasp it first time thank you 😮😮 how wonderful can't wait to see finished quilt

Beautiful quilt!
It is so pretty. I love your final choice for the border.

That seam ripping looked scary! But I've seen others do it, too, without mishap. Something to try. 😊
I absolutely luv how you revealed it in the different stages!
