Sicilians are always feeding their guests no matter what. as a Sicilian living in the uk but goes back every summer, I get it no matter where I go. they are the sweetest. Also mafia in Sicily was originated there yes, but now a days they moved from there and Italy to America but no one talks about that as they aren't known ahahah

Also that sandwich shop in Siracusa… one of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had. Huge and they don’t have a menu, just whatever sandwich they’re making for the day. I’m also dying laughing at your comment about loving Italy bc drink prices… my husband and I couldn’t believe how expensive spritz are in Sicily I guess since it’s a tourist location. We live in northern Italy and the pub across the street from us sells their spritz for €2 😂
