Just lead the guests into a blacked out closed room that they never come out. And then you just start bringing meat out of that room to the kitchen for cooking.

Algorithm brought me here! May you have good success. Cooking your guests would probably make sure a great twist. Probably should make it something you can ‘toggle on’ only, also assuming it is something you unlock if you make a recipe for ‘something’ that makes your guests sleepy first. This got very dark fast…
Or better yet if the game has a calendar have a "halloween" type thing where when you go to sleep and "wake up" (if the game has that haven't played the demo yet) and it plays a cutscene where your character is moving around a customer comes into the kitchen [pan out off view] there is a scream, some suspicious noises .. [pan back in] you only see a finished cooked meal and some redish liquid somewhere and you move out the kitchen door and.. wake up for real from your nightmare that always just hinted at the nefarious thing that could have happened :D
I don't really know why this kind action of the viewer and the reaction of Andrew made me tear up and thinking of the quote of Sam>wise< Gamdschie: "There is something good in the world and that's worth fighting for"
i love that it's been 2 weeks and the description still says farm, cook, and entertain. I will achieve enlightenment if you really put cooking the guests into the game.

Honestly, one of the best advertising things anyone could do for an indie game. This one video has 75k views, and that's ignoring how important it is to get people to wishlist a game on Steam before it launches. This one simple action from Thor probably made an entire career.
Yeah but Piratesoftware viewers are dare I say a little more mindful, I clicked on this because I saw thor and a cozy cottage game in the thumbnail. I'm more prone to want that game because I know it isn't another soulless cottage game, I am willing to wait as long as necessary for the dev to get to cook a properly seasoned dish. (Not saying stardew like game because every farming game isn't harvest moon.)
Congrats man! This really, actually does happen to people. It LITERALLY happened to PirateSoftware, and now look how far he's come. JackSepticEye played his game, and he exploded. Hope this brings you a great boost of confidence in the game industry as well man.
This is so wholesome!! The algorithm has blessed me with a new cozy game!!!! This is why I love the indie scene. Devs helping out other devs and passing their good fortune along. I can't wait to try the demo!
