Was the turbo hard to put back on. I'm replacing mine now. When you put the turbo back in, the exhaust side of turbo, you put the round clamp on , well before you put the clamp on, how did you line it up, I guess there's a little set screw, or something like that to line it up, and tap it with a hammer to get it to set in. Then you put the round clamp on. This is the first video I've seen taking out turbo without the exhaust manifold that's bolted to the turbo. You're way looks much easier. Was it hard getting the turbo lined back up, thanks

I found that it only fits one way. I was worried that I would have the two parts out of alignment but the moment I finagled the clamp around the two ends, it locked in and wouldn't budge. This is before I even started tightening the bolts. The clamp has very tight tolerances so once you get it wrapped around, if the bolts line up, you are good to go. I did wish that I had smaller hands and longer arms, but it worked out eventually.

I can’t get the heat shield off my turbo

I don't remember a heat shield on the turbo itself. Just one attached to the block. I'm not sure what you are running into, but I didn't completely remove it just the bolts and slid it far enough out of the way. Hope that helps.

Where did you jack the engine up at?

I put a block of wood under one of the corners of the oil pan. I figured it was strongest there. With the top engine mount removed, it has a few inches of movement which is all you need. I wouldn't jack at the center of the pan or without a wood block to spread the pressure.
