I honestly thought he was going to be a 'John Fury' type where he's loud and a big character, and I very nearly didn't watch this podcast. But wow, what a gentleman. Very courteous and respectful when he talks. Would genuinely pay to listen to him speak about his life at a dinner. Fantastic character.

Really enjoyed this interview, seen him calling out John Fury so i was interested into knowing who he was. Looks likes an animal and scary bloke but like a good book he should not be judged on his looks. He has a good presence on screen and feel he is a true gentleman. Listening to him talk about upsetting his parents made me well up Liam you have improved your interview technique as you ask a question and listen and let people tell there story. We all like to hear your stories but when listening to someone who has some good stories and experiences on life its great u let them have the limelight.

I met big Joe twice through a mutual friend, P, Jackson, who's an ex pro himself & turned his hand to organising some very good nights of boxing, & Joe attended a few, lovely guy, hands the size of dinner plates, & goes out his way for charity events regularly 👌💪
I remember that stand off with Joe's family ,it was all over the TV and everyone in the area could do nothing...it was a disgrace how the Egans were treated...the family still lived in Ringsend/Irishtown afterwards....it was a hard for the people of D4 they couldn't afford to take the state on....But Joe's Dad fought to the bitter end....in a place called the new houses....funny 40 yrs later the housing estate are still called "the new houses"....it took years for the council to fill the house because nobody would take the house out of respect to the "Egan family "
