Thanks for the update. I have had this watch for about 4 weeks now, and find it most comfortable and the bezel colour really pops. Great offering from Tudor.
Your review several years ago provided my final push and buy an original BB58. I think history is about to repeat itself-- a quality GMT I can actually wear and enjoy, wiotuot all the apprehension associated with the current Rolex GMT II.
Hi, I got the opportunity to try the BB58 GMT and the new BB41 Monochrome at the Tudor boutique here in the UK this week. I was wearing my original BB58 so obviously comparing the GMT to my 58. The GMT is a cracking watch and one that I would have loved to own but to me the new 41 monochrome was more appealing. The GMT has slightly a smaller hand set and the lack of colour on the GMT hand niggled me. I also wish it came with the 5 link bracelet. The monochrome on the other hand was a real contrast to my BB58 with its 5 link bracelet and clean looks. I know there’s no pleasing everyone but a 58 GMT in monochrome, 5 link bracelet and a splash of colour on the GMT hand would be ideal for me.
I'm UK too and like you, visited the AD and tried on both the GMT and the Monochrome. I'll be honest, I'm torn and really struggling to make a final decision. My bro says the coke, even my wife says the coke but at the time, my heart went with the monochrome. Still haven't pulled the trigger yet.
I’m having a hard time. Been hunting a GMT Master II for a few years now, and am losing confidence that the AD I bought a VC Patrimony will give me access without another watch purchase first. The gate keeping and hoops for the one watch I really want is starting to get to me. I’m turning 40 in a few weeks, and can’t bring myself to spend close to or above the current 20k USD gray market price for the GMT Master II, and have been wondering if I should move on the BB58 GMT. I know that people say you should always wait for the one you want, but I feel like this Rolex isn’t going to happen and I’d really like another time piece to commemorate the 40th milestone. I actually got to try on the BB58 GMT and liked it, but don’t know if I should just wait. Welcome any and all thoughts from Uptick or the community here.
I've moved on and really bonded with the 58GMT on the rubber strap which is different enough so I don't feel like I have a downgrade because I'm never that happy with the Tudor bracelets. This Tudor is usable all the time and I've never felt like spending 20k on a Rolex GMT was smart for something that's at the same time so common and yet so sought out by thieves. The dilemma would now be what would I do if an AD actually had a GMT to offer but it would likely be the two-tone which I love but the retail has become too much. So that's it I guess. Likewise my Omega 321 is so much more interesting than a Daytona yet under the radar. It's a state of mind. Just move on, as much as I like the Rolex designs, they're too played out and the brand has no interest in its customers unlike Omega which at least offers a personal experience and don't make you the subject of envy and an invitation to robbery.

Waiting for pepsi version.
This or the white dial Speedmaster?
Were you on a waiting list? I called my AD here in usa and said that its hard to get since its a new release. How fast were you able to get yours?
I walking in and asked and they had just gotten it. That was exactly two months ago. Surely there will be more coming soon
Tu viens d'oû?
Don't get sunburnt, and try not to scratch that beautiful aluminum bezel
I did burn but the bezel is fine
