Ok, last question I promise! And thank you for the help thus far. In your opinion would it be possible to modify, cut down original bumper reinforcement (rebar) as I believe you called it or do I have to buy the new one? Can’t find one for new style for less than $320. Appreciate the info
That I’m not sure on. I know it’s what some people do when they convert from the 2014+ limited bumper so you might be able to do it with the 2010-2013 but I don’t know for sure.
It was really simple. I went to an insurance-approved shop for the estimate. They uploaded the estimate to my insurance company and then I called the company to say I wanted to cash out and get a check rather than repair. They deposited the money to my account within a day (less my $250 deductible). I took the new bumper back to the shop to have them paint it.
You want to put on a 2014+ limited bumper? For the most part the general process will be the same, but different part numbers for some of the new parts.
I’m about to do my conversion next week this video will help out so much! Thanks for making this video man! As far as screws and bolts go, do I need to buy anything extra besides everything you mentioned?
At about 11:50 I mention a plastic grommet and screw for the headlight. I modified a clip that I had leftover from another project - I believe it came from when I removed the rocker panel and replaced with a 2014+ rocker. It works well. If you don't have something that will work, the actual part # for that grommet is 90189-05142. Other clips and screws I got from the original. Some are repurposed from other parts on the original, like for example the clips from the chrome strip work to hold the fog light bezel in the facelift bumper.

I needed new supports for the grille and bumper. There is a long center one and two sides. The video description has the full parts list and part numbers that I used.
This thread had info about people who converted a newer limited to the TRD front end. There was a guy who posted the parts list of the difference between the two. I do not think much is reused from the 2010 for a newer limited (maybe the rebar?). www.4runners.com/threads/2021-limited-to-trd-pro-front-bumper-swap.18332/
On your passenger headlight bracket, the one you had to buy, did it ask if you have parking sensors or not? Also, what was the part number, if you have it. Thnx.

You glanced over it in the video… I see some additional parts on your list that mentioned the rebar in their description. Can you shed some light? Thanks! Subbed!
Buying a used rebar usually includes the rail extensions and that's why it was quick in my video. Unbolt the old rail extensions from the frame and bolt up the new. I'm not positive if the pre-facelift rail extensions are the same as the 14+, but maybe others know so ask around. Good luck on the project!

If you can find just the lens for sale, I have heard of people putting the assembly in the oven in order to separate the lens from the housing. But you can find a used oem headlight for around $100, so might as well go that route in my opinion.

Yes, people have swapped in this bumper on a newer limited. You’ll need a few different bumper supports and will need to chop the rebar or get the one for this bumper.

It is needed for the fit. I found someone selling a used TRD silver valence and rebar cause they switched to a C4 Lo Pro.
@@curtisbauer9644 Okay, I’m just having trouble finding all the parts and stuff for my facelift 😂. So I was just hoping it was because yours was damaged.
Hello Wisc, Is there a way to remove the headlight lens cover I was hoping that I wouldn’t have to replace the entire headlight for my 2014 4Runner, but I bet you’re gonna tell me that I will need to buy the full enclosure but either way I’d appreciate a response,,,,,,,,,, from anybody and thanks!
If you can find just the lens for sale, I have heard of people putting the assembly in the oven in order to separate the lens from the housing. But you can find a used oem headlight for around $100, so might as well go that route in my opinion.
@@wiscoutsidelife thank you sir but I was able to clean and polish myself it looks great now and I saved $200 plus instead of buying because there was nothing wrong with the lights itself only the film at top of light fixture!
With the harness made like that would it be possible to add morimoto gen 2 led headlights?
I’ve never seen the wiring for them, so not sure
Great video man! Question, someone is selling me his 2016 4Runner TRD pro does that one fit in my 2010 4Runner? He’s also selling me his headlights! Thanks
Dude you’re lucky. That fits. Have fun
where can I get the small bumper chassis? Thanks for this video
Check for used parts on car-part.com, eBay, FB marketplace, craigslist, etc.
Thanks👍
Can I do this with a 2004 v8 4runner?
I don’t believe so. The fender lines and hood are different and probably the mounting points underneath.
Great Job!
Thanks!
hi man, thanks for this video, i have a question, is it the same for de 2010 limited?
Yes, headlights and bumper are the same on the Limited and SR5
@@wiscoutsidelife ok, will you do the rear ?
I'd really like to for the better angle but not planning it in the near future unless I get rear ended and need a new bumper.
@@wiscoutsidelife do yo know if the rear Cover needs diferent parts like the front? The ligths are the same?
The lights are the same. I believe it just needs a rear cover, not all the additional parts like the front, but I haven’t put together a parts list yet.
omg thank u so much!!!
Have a 2011 4 runner that needs a front bumper spoiler that is attached to the bumper cover you just replaced, I would have offered to buy off I you since you won’t be needing it no more , guess I’m a little too late
Not sure what you’re looking for but I still have some parts. If you’re looking for the underneath front splash guard, I do have that. The actual bumper is gone.
@@wiscoutsidelife looking for the spoiler that is attached to the bottom part of the plastic bumper cover you replaced for the newer model one , thanks for replying back
@@elguaguero23 sorry, that’s gone
did you buy that bumper painted black already?? i need a new one..
Bought from Toyota and took to a shop to paint it.
Good job 👏🏻
Hi Were did get complete bomper ?
Do you have to buy the extension bracket that goes behind the crash bar, or can you reuse the ones from the original 4 runner?
I’m not positive you need the brackets. The current part numbers are the same so you might be ok with your current brackets.
Ok, did you use new one when you did the facelift?
Yes
Beautiful
Thanks!
It hurts to see all the rust .. Can't imagine this happen to my baby
Please reply can this work with a 2006 4runner??
I don’t know for sure but I highly doubt it. There are differences with the hood and fenders sheet metal. The mounting points and wiring might be different as well. 4th gen vs 5th gen.
@@wiscoutsidelife ok thank you
Hi, is there a way to buy the all kit together?
Not that I’m aware of
Does anyone just make a complete package kit for this upgrade?
Not that I know of
Does anyone know if I can put this same bumper on my 2015 4Runner limited?
Yes, people have swapped in this bumper on a newer limited. You’ll need a few different bumper supports and will need to chop the rebar or get the one for this bumper.
@@wiscoutsidelife okay, I figured so probably gonna end up spending a bit more, still it sure why they chose such an ugly bulky bumper especially for the most expensive model. Also do you know if after market steel/metal bumpers would fit the swapped TRD bumper, the same that they normally would?
Someone else who has done it might need to weigh in on this.
Do i need all of that if i have a 2013
Yes, you’ll need all of the same stuff.
