11:13 Michael Jackson wanna be starting something is actually a sample from Manu Dibango soul Makossa 1972
so it's a double sample?
It is a Chain Sample
RIhanna Sampled Michael Jackson
Michael Jackson Sampled Manu Dibango
Here is the Manu Dibango Song at 0:08
ruclips.net/video/aWK_Josc0Og/видео.html
Yeah man I was gonna comment on this one too... Soul Makossa was thorougly covered in funk music indeed, one of my favourite versions is from Lafayette Afro Band, also the tune from Armando Trovaioli called Sessomatto (crazy sex in English) with all the moaning from the girl is fresh! :)
just the makusa part
Manu Dibango sued Michael and won.
My favourite part about this (and all your other sample videos) is that when there is an opportunity to blend the sample with the new song, you do it - and that is awesome. Big love.

Would be nice if you mentioned the origin of "mama se mama sa ma makossa" which is Soul Makossa by Cameroonian artist Manu Dibango.
Napausa*
10:30 actually, "the inspector´s Gadget theme" is a sample of "in the hall of mountain king" of Edward Grieg...
I think you might be a bit confused about what sample means. Sampling means taking a direct piece from another song. I think you might be talking about interpolation, which is taking a melody from another song and using it, though i wouldn't call this interpolation either as the melodies are different enough.
@@Allupertti ohhh thanks, i dont know it. But i'm pretty sure... or maybe is not, i'm not an expert...
@@ladyvalito I mean, neither am I. I just don't hear a direct piece of "in the hall of the mountain king" in the inspector gadget theme. I can't hear any strings, which are the main instrument of in the hall of the mountain king
Ithotmk samples to a song from Trolls.
1:35 not just Bonfire it could be found one song in GTA San Andreas
That's "Murder Rap" by Above The Law
Or that tune in Kill Bill
10:06 was hoping one of these videos would have this, wooooo! such a sick sample, Busta Rhymes is so underrated
The Psycho Theme Isn't Composed by Someone Whose Last Name is Hoffman, The Composer is Bernard Herrmann, Who Adapted it in 1998? Danny Elfman.
Which Means: You Mentioned Elfman, But You Didn't Mention Herrmann.
Busta rhymes
0:36 Whenever I hear No More Love You's, all I ever going to think about is immediately Dr. Phil.
I think of Neil Cicierga's Annoyed Grunt 😂😂😂
I think of the oh part in Nelly and kelly Rowland's dilemma.
@games4850
Well that makes two of us
I Can't Go for That (No Can Do) used in Sunrise by Simply Red
by Hall and Oates
Corey Hurst- Manson. Is also sampled by House of Krazees- violent memories.
Whoop whoop
This and Part 1 I watched during a lockdown drill that happened during math class back when I went to KMVA before they merged with Kent Phoenix Academy, which if you ask me was the stupidest idea ever.
CORRECTION:
10:19 Bernard Herrmann Psycho suite
Fun fact: All Summer Long also samples the Sweet Home Alabama riff
the whole thing I think is amazing
The Tamperer also sampled Madonna's "Material Girl" for "If You Buy This Record (Your Life Will Be Better)"
Funny thing about that Ironside theme is that most current trap shit uses that same noise
Benjamin Romanello It’s a very popular sample.
How about Kill Bill theme?
Thanks for these kinds of videos, I'm finding so many (more or less) new songs here, it's incredible! :D
I was just watching this video compilation hoping you'd eventually highlight the sample from Duran Duran's 1986 song "Notorious" used by the Notorious B.I.G. in his similarly-named song (do you in fact ever do that and if so, what compilation is it on?) when I literally screamed at 11:34. This solved one musical mystery that I've had for the past three years involving this one BBC special I saw where there was one song sample I couldn't identify for love nor money, until I finally got my answer; it's either the original song by Edwin Birdsong or the song that uses it as a sample by Daft Punk! I am stunned I finally have an answer to that musical mystery. Now if only I knew if you've highlighted Duran Duran before.... (Also, Eric Prydz used a Duran Duran sample, this time on his song "I'm on Fire" and using a sample from their 1990 song "Serious").
ladyi7609 I have a video on Biggie, it might be on there. Glad I’ve helped you out in some way 😊
ladyi7609 go to 4:46 on this video ruclips.net/video/7G8wX6iCjVc/видео.html
13:15 is definitely is sample for Smack my Beach Up (you know it) not for Breathe :/
iScream I believe the drum fill is used in Breathe
It’s both
@@8mu- i like the work you do but some of it seems rushed just to get the sweet views or whatever, it makes no sense to put on breathe when the more prominent sample of that funk record is in smack my b up... also animals did not sample that busta rhymes song as you can see in the video "martin garrix in the studio with future music"...
iScream I also think it’s in skrillex’s eat and die, which happens to be in this series.

Thank you, I’m getting there slowly 😊
17:40 Rick james - Super freak 1981 there is another Song Sampling it Falco - Der Kommisar 1982
They don't sound alike
@@prohav74 actually, the riff is the same melody. They both go 1, 2-3-4
13:47 coming into elevator sounds like
13:23 wrong song it is not Prodigy Breath. It should be Prodigy - Smack my B*tch up
@2:05 I think he meant to write "Drop the Pressure" instead of "Doctor Pressure" :D
On second thought it is another version of the song which uses a 1 year older version of his song "Drop the Pressure" 🙈
ironside also sampled by above the law (their 2 songs) = untouchable and murder rapi've been seen in nosbo's 1990s rap sample part 5
Steal my sunshine--more more more. Since yesterday--beach baby. All together now--canon suite
This is Kinda realated to this because of 16:56 but, what happened to The Notorious B.I.G.?
Wow Stormzy nicked that almost 100%? Hey Britain, what's that about him being sO oRIgInAl?
The sampled song is nearly always a million times better than the one using the sample!
nice transiton at 3.40
4:48 It sounds like In a little while by U2
I might be wrong but the bit from animals (busta rhymes) is not a sample just the same synthesizer
Robin Dreier was a sample, probably changed it up a bit, but I’m sure it’s credited as a sample.
Instrumentals are still samples
The Randy Weston song, In Memory of. That's not Breath, it's Smack My Bitch Up.
Robert Mahon
The main riff was used in SMBU. The drum fill was used in breathe.
Me gustaron las dos últimas
The Casualty theme song dates back to 1986.
musicmanfelipe
They revamped the theme tune every few series, the one sampled here is from 1995.
Ah, thanks for telling me.
Method of Mayhem is Tommy Lee of Motley Crew ( Drummer and Rock Genius )
1:06 - I cant hear a relation between "The knack" and "Run DMC". Sound different to me...
jogibaerr50000 It’s cut up
18:08 How did you pitch David Guetta, Akon, Ne-Yo - Play Hard?

@@CakesAreNotTruths Ok
Awesome Collection Definitly deserve more views thx
Nice that you put something as obscure as Interloper
Tech N9ne also samples “ I can’t go for that” I believe.
As does the short-lived boyband C-Note with "Can't Take You Home", if I'm remembering the title correctly.
Ironside theme tune also samples to Sean Paul's Breakout.
Brenda Russel - A Little Bit Of Love = Demi Lovato - Sorry, Not Sorry
Does Anoes' theme sound like Bowser's theme?
I just had a question, and that is all it is a simple question, so please don't read too much into it, I dig the Channel. The counterpart for the Hall & Oats, I can't go for that. I wanted to know why did you go with Plan B's Mama (Loves a Crackhead) and not Heavy D - “I'll Do Anything” or maybe 2 Live Crew - “I Can't Go For That”. Personally, I would have gone with the one done by Notorious B.I.G. ft Angel Demar - I Can't Go For That (DJ Vlad mix). Oh crap, I almost forgot the version by De La Soul - “Say No Go”.
Big Up on the Night Hawks! You gotta check the leak bros with that pink Floyd dark side sample!
5:48 exwell. well............
Jastria Rahmat These things happen.
thanks sǝʇnuᴉɯʇɥƃᴉǝ :D
I can only hear Annoyed Grunt when I hear No More I Love You’s
2:51 Great list. Amazing and fun. But, *the year of release for "Duke Of Earl" is '1962'.. Not 1973* .
A shit load of work went into making these I'm sure, great fucking job on both parts!
9:18 Where did you get 1995 from? It's 1986.
15:46 that sounds like a 70s song
Liked, commented and subscribed
You legend! Thank you.
@@8mu- Thxxxxx man, great channel!
14:27 My boyfriend asked me who’s social security number that was 🤣
5:32 WHAT THE???? 1798 year??
😂😂 I was blessed with fat fingers mate.
The p money song is actually made by sukh knight and it's called "parabat"
12:13 I was expecting sunrise by simpley red
yep
2:15 the Mylo song is « Drop the pressure » not « Doctor Pressure »
Objection! „Doctor pressure“ is a mash-up of „dr. Beat“ and „drop the pressure“ - the song in the video ist „doctor pressure“.
Plutoniumdrache : Correct! My bad! And now I’m gonna have it stuck in my head all day.
My kabbalaaaaaah!
You got the album wrong for animals it's actually from Gold skies EP
@ 7:16 free sample no copywriten infringe on artist the copywriting law wasn't in place to protect artist work till 1945
Do old school next
Nah kid rocks Song was definitely trying to bite off of sweet home Alabama. The werewolves of London was just similar style.
not really, as Kid Rock didn't sample Skynyrd, he had Billy Powell come in and recreate his piano part....as it turns out, that's the last known recording to feature Billy, as he passed away not long after cutting it.
Actually both the Sweet Home Alabama riff and Werewolves of London are sampled
What movie is that Busta Rhymes sample from?
4:52 in a little while U2
"werewolves of london" is just "sweet home alabama" fyi
I just noticed that after 2000 samples just sounds like it's used because people have fun our of ideas and are lazy. Before that it's sound more interwoven especially with rappers like ice t who know how to write it into a track. Oh yeah I remember the casualty theme tune being sampled, I thought that was pretty damn unique same with busta rymes and yes, Dougie fresh. Lol, Moby lol the prodigy sample wasn't breath it was Smack my bitch up. Ain’t you done Prodigy Sample one?
*casually remembers U Can't Touch This and Ice Ice Baby*
Imagine Felix Mendelssohn listening to Fahrenheit 911 07:20
So glad i found you.
princess el
I’m glad you did too 😀
6:44-7:09 - Sinceramente non ho trovato il nesso...non li trovo neanche così simili...
È aggiunta una semplice traccia di batteria
10:31 brown bricks in minecrap
Exwell ? It´s Axwell !!
MC Hammer вообще не заморачивался
13:15-13:29 - Io speravo che ci fosse "Smack My Bitch Up" dei Prodigy! Che troll! :(
13:20 is incorrect. Should have been "Smack My Bitch Up"
Supreme2k zits the drums that are sampled on that example.
1979: My Sharona
2020: My Corona
A number of these were hardly "hit songs" were they really??
Hi 8MU
Hi
I have one. Havana by camila cabello is a sample of smooth by santana and rob thomas.
Run-DMC didn't sample My Sharona. Sounds nothing alike
SuperGandalfBros Just because you can’t decipher it doesn’t mean it’s not there. This is a very well known sample.
@@8mu- it reminds me more of Mickey by Toni Basil
No way! Show me love with show me by Chris brown 🤔
Daniel Rodriguez That’s an interpolation, not ‘sampled’
@@8mu- *Googles interpolation
Like a similarly? Lol
Most of the artists doing the sampling are artists no one cares about or have heard of, prior to this video.
Jazz Bquick Just because you haven’t heard of something doesn’t mean everybody else hasn’t. Try broadening your musical horizons a bit 👍🏻
Watching your videos one conclusion i've come to Daft punk don't make their own songs!
CineMATic they do it’s called sampling
2pac died 1996
Pretty sure these were songs that went unreleased when he was alive.
Dude had enough verses recorded before he died to cover many many new songs.
i saw a paper cup with a split in its side blow done my street and it still had more talent than nicki minaj
The David Guetta song is rather a rip-off than a sample.
my dude, i'm telling you this as a friend who cares: please finish your acronyms. it's cringe.
n3rds3y3vi3w What?
@@8mu- Every artist like Notorious B.I.G. you always leave off the last period.
@@n3rds3y3vi3w Everyone does that tho. There's some people who spell acronym in either B.I.G., B.I.G, or BIG.
@@frstwhsprs and only one way is correct, the way Biggie himself wrote it. B.I.G.
