@@manchieffilms🤗 Pre MTV Police are the best. Still listen to Zenyatta Mondatta (80') & Regatta De Blanc (79') Albums to this day! 🤩 Oulandis de'Amour (77') does hold a special place in my heart but I never owned this Album. 🥰🐰
They did have a lot of Rock/reggae music. They are British New Wave! They were awesome ! Dig deeper man. He was a School teacher, the drummer is amazing the Guitar player played with the Animals for a while and auditioned for The Rolling Stones. Please don’t over think this music just smoke a joint if you partake and enjoy this music it’s badass for its time. I was there that’s what we did! Kids of the 80’s. We had the best music era Ever!!!
I agree the music was so good in the 80s. I just can’t smoke the joint on the truck driver. I don’t wanna lose my job, but I will continue to listen to.
🤗 Regatta De Blanc & Zenyatta Mondatta hooked me on the Police. But 🤩 Synchronicity Tour made me fall in love with drummer 🥁 Stewart C & his brother. 😏 Attended the 1st solo show (Blue Turtle Tour) by Sting in NYC at the Ritz. 🤗 The same club I saw Tina Turner in. They end her Movie 'Whats Love Got To Do With it' by filming Angela Bassett as Tina back stage then starting to perform. 😁 I was an extra so got to be at the real & 'fake' performances. 🥰🐰
Good ear. The Police are a rock band with heavy Reggae influences. The guy you recognize is the lead singer Sting. Sting had a very successful solo career after The Police disbanded. So many great songs, my favorites are Roxanne and Don't Stand So Close To Me.
So I suppose I could have checked your back catalogue, but I didn't. 🙂 Have you ever heard George Clinton and Parliament / Funkadelic doing Maggotbrain before? If not you really should. One of the best guitar pieces like.. ever. For serious. Thanks man! 😎🎸🤘
No need to apologize for the Police being “reggae,” anyone clicking on a Police reaction knows they were one of the most popular bands of the late ‘70s - early ‘80s. All five of their studio albums went Gold or Platinum. In fact, their 1983 album Synchronicity spent 17 weeks atop Billboard’s Top 200 Albums chart. They were THE biggest band on the planet for a year or two in the early ‘80s.
If you have an issue with apologizing with Police what you going to do with the 1980’s New Wave bands. Like Tears for Fears, B-52’s, Go Go’s , Eurythmics, bananarama, A-Ah, Adam Ant, the Cars they not Rock they are New Wave. Like the Police New Wave was a genre. Look it up please
Watch .."Driven to tears"...live 1980 frejus France
Ok. I’ll try and get to it. It’s so many songs

🙋🏿♀️ May I suggest 'Roxanne' next! It was played all the time on the 📻 radio! 😍 Or my personal favorite, 🧑🏾🚀 'Walking On The Moon'! 🥰🐰

Yeah I really enjoyed this song. Man the 80’s were a good time
Stewart Copeland (drummer) said he hates this song. I think it has more to do with Stewart and Sting (singer) don't like each other, at all
Oh wow. That’s crazy. This was a good song

Will do. I’ve heard of TS for B-52’s but I didn’t hear of the other ones that you mentioned.
