This video is great.
But there were few mistakes. For example Wenceslau III. was also king of Hungary and Poland but He lost it.
Sigismund was technicaly king of Bohemia from 1420 but he had no control over Bohemia due to pre-protestant uprising and he ruled de facto from 1436-1437.
Kingdom of Bohemia de iure existed until 1918. After Battle of Mohác in 1526 it was in personal union with Hungary and Austria.
In 1620 there was Battle of White Mountain and Czech protestants lost it. I would rather consider this as end of independent Bohemia.
In the end the ruling parties are wrong. From 2017 the ruling party is ANO Party. In fact SPO isn't Now in parliament.
Considering Moravians as separated entity is controversial.
But I must admit that it is hard to make good video And this video was great.
It's not information about rulling parlamental party, it's political party of the president. Not sure why it is in the video because that information is unimportant. And about Moravians, it's not that contoversial because they themselves think about selfs as Moravians (and also Czechs as part of Czech Republic).

Think it was Katarina (Katarzyna) Jagellonica who married the Swedish King during Poland-Lithuania.
He also didn't nclude the personal union with Sweden.

Kingdom of Poland at beginning wasn't part of Russian Empire but only in personal union and after failed uprising it still had autonomy until next failed uprising.

Władysław Raczkiewicz was a president of Poland but on exile (first in Paris, later in London), a polish patriot that had nothing to do with General Government. Administration of this zone of occupation was composed of Germans and a Governor-General for the whole WWII was a war criminal Hans Frank.

Few translations are a bit off, still the map itself is a good job. Also, you probably won a lot of Polish sympathy by counting lawful Polish presidents-in exile as leaders of Poland durring communist times. While not exactly factually correct (sadly), it's surely legitimist :)
There's this stereotype nowadays of great Polish-Ottoman rivalry... while in fact we were "frenemies", essential for each other from the balance of power perspective. Once we've helped bring forth the Ottoman decline, there wasn't a great power flanking Austria and Russia anymore and they could focus on us entirely...
Well said. The more balanced course of action would be more beneficial for Poland. As far as I remember Jan Sobieski tried to balance the situation using France - natural Habsburg enemy, but failed. After Jan Sobieski no polish king was smart and powerfull enough to play geopolitics.

I see few mistakes (i believe) 1st for sure Wladislaw Lokietek (Elbow-High) started as a prince but later becom King of Poland and all following rulers had title of king (until end of 18th century)
Earlier ther were miketes in positioning slavic tribes on the map. They were put to much to the east. Wolinians for example had to be at island of Wolin (in Estuary of the Oder river) close to the modern border of Poland and Germany on teh polish side.
The Serbs lived in the area between Elbe and Oder (modern Eastern Germany)
It seems to be just a partial view on Western Slavs. Poles weren't Poles at that time. It is fairly late name. Germania was Slavic up to Rhine river with brave remnants of that presence in Lusatia - Łużyce.

Years 1947-1990 in Poland are showing Polish Government in Exile which didn't have both power and I believe international recognition. Don't know if it is intentional.

It wasn't best idea for Poland to colonize eastern lands. In the meantime Germans took Silesia and Pomerania.
@@Nalesnik158 Well, that's not exactly true. Their lands were divided between the large number of duchies, free cities and similar entities, all united under the Holy Roman Empire. The concept of the state and the nation as we know it is relatively new. So they were there, but not in the same manner as we know it today.

1301-1305 - Vaclav was Czech and hungary king, 1309-1321 count Matuš Čák was Slovak autonomous ruler of Slovakia, 1848 Slovakia was autonoumous under Štúr rule. 1818-Slovak people repulbik, 1919 Slovak repulic RAD(under hungary) PLS Give them on the map.
First of all, great video about our (west Slavs) history. Secondly, I found few misconceptions. Duchy/Principality of Nitra as a part of Kingdom of Hungary was almost as big as todays Slovakia, so it wasn't just western part of it. Then in 870 Moravian part was under Frankish rule and only Nitranian part remained, which in 871 conquered Moravia back. Bohemia conquered western part of Nitranian principality in 955 and after 987, the whole Nitra became part of Kingdom of Hungary.
I know that you work with enormous number of information so it's understandable that you made some (very small) mistakes.

Dude, after `45 Poland was not independent in full sense of the word. As for the liberation of teritory - agreed. But independence we regained in `89 when "Solidarity" movement and civil protests led to decomunisation. Til 89 we were puppet country of CCCP with about 60k soviet soldat stationing in Polish teritory. I can understand,that war winners(Soviets) could inerpretate that from their point of view. And after all people need to bury in mind that CCCP won against nazis, and liberated half of europe from Hitler`s grasp. But Stalin`s era, and comunism that came after that, was no real freedom to Polad. Once free we became trapped behind iron courtain No hard feelings to any Russian. Need to say - neither communism nor nazism were an ideology accepted by polish citizens, it was forced upon people.

Error end of video. The inhabitants of the area around the city of Ostrava are Silesians. Yes, there is also a Polish minority in the Czech Republic. The green colors for the Silesians were supposed to be where you placed the purple color for the Poles. (In the neighborhood of yellow for Moravians.)

Terrible mistake: Poland in the end of XIII and in XIV c. was a kingdom, not "duchy" - Władysław Elbow-High and his son Casimir The Great were kings of united Poland.
Same, Przemysł II in the end of XIII c. (first successful attempt to unite the country and restore the kingdom - in 1296).
Wenceslaus II and III of Bohemia also tried to become kings, not "dukes" of Poland (successful for a while).

Second: Lack of Obodrite Union VII-XII c.
