Again John! I love it! I always say that we are not obedient to Gods commandments FOR our salvation. We are obedient to the commandments of Yahweh BECAUSE of our salvation.

I was bummed to hear Ohio allows abortion, but God is still in the throne. Hearts and minds will change. Don’t give up the Faith, my brothers, my sisters, my blood.
It really made me sad to see that some people who I used to go to church with and still attend this church voted for Issue 1.
Yes I can be obedient! I will take every blessing I can get! It’s all huge no matter what people think! Love my kids! I pray they will be obedient to us and know that God has a plan for their life!

my one-year Bible went through Joel this week. It's only 3 chapters, and it's a good read.

It does not always work out that way. My parents were godly people who lived what they preached. My father was an Evangelical pastor. Fast forward, my brother has been a United Church of Christ (UCC), woke, progressive "Christian" pastor now for decades who preaches acceptance of sexual immorality, abortion and more teachings of apostacy! We all still have free will, regardless of how we were raised. Just like the Bible talking about good kings who served God, b ut their son, who became king after them were wicked kings.
It is extremely disgusting that those who identify as Evangelical voted for this Issue. I was extremely sad to discover people from an Evangelical church I attended voted for Issue 1.

What confuses me John is that you’re friends with James white and understand predestination and Gods sovereignty yet why aren’t you preaching it when you know it’s true why are you still stuck in this free will theology that you know isn’t biblical?
Funny how you mention God’s sovereignty yet you fail to understand and acknowledge that both adversity and good come from the mouth of God and God controls everything nothing happens unless God commands it
Funny how you think God being sovereign means he has to control all sides, instead of it meaning he's just smart and good enough to always win anyway. Which is a higher sovereignty?

@@Adam2-13 I never suggested God is foolish. His word certainly doesn't reveal Him as such. I agree with what the Bible says about His will and that nothing can overcome it. My reply was more aimed at what you really believe about God's sovereignty, which you revealed as Calvanistic in origin in another comment.
For the purpose of staying on topic here, John never contradicted what the Bible says about success and disaster both coming from God, but the question must be asked - does disaster, TRUE disaster (aka God's wrath), fall upon the one walking in the fear of the Lord? The Bible says quite the opposite, and that was John's message. Ultimately, life holds natural consequences of walking in the fear of the Lord and not - because God made it that way.
