I saw this live and thought you had done the dirty on Ben there, but the replays make it clear. It looks like a bit of Karma in the end back for Ben after moving under braking on GB.
Yea it's a shame Ben never showed anything other than his own POV on his stream, it's clear to see why Ben is frustrated from his side, but when you see my side you see it's a bit of a nothing burger Lots of angry chat hoppers for what was ultimately just a clumsy racing incident
@@AlexGillonGameplayit’s always a clumsy incident with you though isn’t it. Purposely driving forward in a bend is wild and you knew exactly what you were doing 😂. I get there is a rival between you and Ben but the constant dirtiness just shines you both in a bad light.
@@jakedonovan564 if you actually knew what you're talking about you'd realise very quickly that Alex couldn't have done anything different there, he took the racing line that he had been using the entire race, watch the clips before commenting something stupid just to attack some one
Other than the massive controversy, it was super clean! 😂 tbf you're right, the actual on track incident was incredibly small, but the reaction takes it way above where it needs to be
@@AlexGillonGameplay "the reaction takes it way above where it needs to be" You are all guilty of over reacting to small incidents and making a mountain out of a small incident. How many times have you called everyone dirty and ended streams unhappy after laying blame. At the end of the day, reactions are in the heat of the moment. You are both human. Ben makes mistakes, you make mistakes. simple as. As long of you take ownership of the mistakes even if its behind the scenes that's what matters. Which I'm sure you have both done for this and past incidents once the anger wears off.
And no one will talk about first race incident where Ben clearly sent it on Elrey(which at that point was his closest enemy in the championship). If I was Elrey, honestly I would be pissed if I had to avoid him by literally not even turning into the corner and getting dropped like 13 places after that incident. It would be fair if Ben could sometimes look at his own mistakes, without pointing fingures at others.
i used to watch bens videos all the time switched because alex's videos come out faster 😅 what i will say about ben is he's never in the wrong in his opinion and blames alex for everything alex was further to the left than the lap before and had a car up the inside 😂
I've seen Ben take ownership of incidents loads of times. He goes over clips at the end of his streams and will admit if he messes up. What you see in a edited YT video is never the full story of the race Edit - if you want the best takes on racing incidents. Watch GB's streams. He's pretty much always unbias and gives a straight review.
Alex does tend to have a "if gap, car go." mentality. "we don't like seeing racing like that guys." Alex says before channeling his inner senna. someone could probably make a complication at this point tbh.
I think we both get accused of that to be fair 😂 I can't speak for Ben, but it's hard to accept fault at the time, because I never actively intend to do anything wrong / dirty, so it's only when reviewing it afterwards I'm able to have a more balanced view. But by that point most people have clicked away of course, it's kinda just the nature of being a streamer - F1 drivers generally get some time to digest before getting a mic in their face!
The crash at the end is the weird grey area of overtaking and defending of who controls where the cars go. Does Alex have control by being the leader or does Ben have control based on where his car is, similar to Sainz & Perez in Baku. Add in the design of the corner, your move to the inside which because of the corner probably caught Ben out and the fact Ben was only slightly alongside Alex. Racing Incident probably.
Yh I think the corner is what throws things off a little. I dunno if the creator series follows irl regs 1 to 1 but Ben would need his front axle to be alongside Alex's axle by the apex, Alex can dictate the line, by the end of the corner Ben was behind Alex. Kinda feels a bit like lag or something tbh.
I watched this on Ben’s stream at the time and I thought there was a jolted movement of the wheel to stop him from getting through which obviously would make it your fault and was hoping to see your pov but he didn’t show it but now I’ve seen this side of it I can now see it’s a racing incident and just unlucky on Ben’s side due to the contact module on the game
Hey Alex, I'm surprised you haven't been using Hotlap in the races. The only real time Overtake has an advantage over Hotlap, is under acceleration, especially gears 3 and 4 (2 gets too much wheelspin). In gears 5 and up, Overtake still delivers slightly more power but the amount of ERS it drains makes it not worth it in my opinion. Try using Overtake in short bursts at the start of straights (in the lower gears like 3, 4 and maybe 5). Then switch to Hotlap for the rest of the straight. Doing this also means you rarely have to go into None because you deplete much less of the battery and Medium does a good enough job of harvesting back - if you limit the amount of Overtake you use per lap.
I’m honestly not sure what to make of the incident at the end. From your POV I thought you had a slight jink before he went for it, then straight lined the corner a bit to send Ben wide. From Ben’s POV, I thought you turned right to go left From GB’s POV, I think your jink right was just as Ben was going for the move. It’s such a fine line, because you’ve barely done anything wrong but it’s still had a big effect. What I would say is you focussed on the fact that you left a car’s width, which isn’t the issue. You can’t turn into a car just because they have more space to move aside for you. That part of the track is effectively occupied, so I would say what you did was over the limit (not saying it was deliberate necessarily) I do think what Ben did to GB was actually worse (still don’t necessarily think it was deliberate), but had a much lesser effect and actually maybe helped GB in a funny way, but overall a tough one to call imo
I hope you and Ben can come to an agreement to put this weekend behind you. If he wins the title at Qatar he should have no reason to still hold a grudge and you can race each other on track with no ill feelings and hopefully more tame chats as a result.
Typical Ben Daly. Bottling the finish, then blaming everyone else around him. It's CLEAR as day, that Ben is the one turning into Alex, yet Ben blames Alex, while EVERYTHING supports Alex doing nothing wrong. Ben is SUCH a damn child.
Twitch chat can be proper cringy for stuff like that. I was in Bens chat and people were annoyed about people going over to Alex's chat. Its mostly just melts who do that. I've seen Alex fans and El Rey fans doing the same (el reys being the worst by far)
Tbh regardless of whether you agree it was dirty from Alex or not, Ben wouldn’t have been champion if he’d won that last race, so most of his fans saying Alex robbed him of the title are just being braindead

GB admitted that was his fault because he braked too late.

Elrey has no right to complain about any dodgy driving

Your battery was not recharging into T12 and T14 for some reason, so you were missing out on some 15% every lap.
