How the fuck do the kids shows always have the most terrifying villains. Things like warhammer 40k has a literal blood god but that’s not even scary a bit compared to whatever the hell belos is. Unlike Khorne or any other ancient evil in other mediums, he is less evil and more just... unknown, we just don’t know anything about him, that’s what’s terrifying.

Yeah, I really hope season 2 or 3 doesn’t dumb him down. I hope he retains the eldritch abomination vibe.

Also, it's funny how this just popped in my recommendations again after I binge watched today's episode, literally shrieking on the inside thinking we might finally found out about his origins.

Yes...but actually no. While this track is featured the "Gods and Nightmares" collection and is an orchestral composition, I was actually thinking about the Godmaster DLC which features tracks such "Gods and Glory" and "Haunted Foe" (notably thinking about these two in particular).
Imagine if Belos was a Hollow Knight Boss.
At this point knowing how th story if unfolding and the fact Dana has put Hollow Knight references its safe to say some inspiration was taken on the Pale King

@@Kalamity_Music Maybe. I mean he had gray hair so we know he's old. The word Belos actually translates to "Beautiful" in many Iberian and Mediterranean languages such as Portuguese, Galician and Corsican.
The word was also used in Latin as a royal title in reference to several gods in classical Greek and Latin texts.

*I can clearly recognize the influence of Mozart's Requiem ( not Eda's ) it's a great theme for a great character. Great work with the orchestral version !*
Two humans from Connecticut, born centuries apart. Both considered outcasts, before they came to the Boiling Isles and discovered the power of the glyph. He became a conqueror and a destroyer, seeking to wipe out the inhabitants to prove himself to people he must know are dead by now, to an dogma that society’s moved past, but is all he has left. She became a protector and liberator, seeking to make her world one where anybody belongs, no matter how much they deviate from the norms society imposes, that wouldn’t exist in the Boiling Isles without him.
While Belos and Luz seem like opposites, the truth is that they’re not as stark as light and dark. He’s a poison, and she’s the antidote. Luz is Belos if he questioned the beliefs drilled into him since childhood, and Belos is Luz if she caved into societal pressure to stop being herself, and expect the same from others. Like all other great evil counterparts to the main protagonist, he has the same powers as Luz, he’s just had way more time to study their potential than her.

@@robertstreet3047 Sheev 'The Senate' Palpatine single-handedly dismantled a Republic that had stood for a thousand years, destroyed the force who historically have consistently kept his kind in check and sent the galaxy towards a very different direction than where it was normally going. And what's best, in some point of view, what he did was a good thing.

An empire in which two months ago attacked our boarders all across the Chinese sea. They attacked our capital city Beijing. They attacked some of our other great cities, such as Shanghai, Hong Kong, and so much more. World war three came as we all thought it would at some point sooner or later. However it came in a way that none of us could've predicted. World war three has so far contained the most unlikeliness of events, with the most unlikeliness of allies and the most unlikeliness of enemies. Our army fought hard to protect our lands, and we did well. amidst all the fighting, something amazing happened. we found ourselves fighting side by side with the South Koreans as they helped us defend and fight with North Korea. Our navies fought side by side with the Japanese, Australians, and the Americans. We fought with people that were once our enemies. Now we were fighting together against a common enemy. An enemy that threatened not just the Chinese people but all of humanity. We fought hard side by side with other countries. Kikimora and the Coven head witches all argue at the meeting table as they discuss how they were defeated by the humans. How it was even possible that their invasion failed, they were baffled.
Kikimora: HOW?! HOW DID HUMANS DEFEAT MY WITCH ABOMATON ARMY?!?! I BLAME YOU DARIUS! I PUT YOU AS PRIMARY GENERAL OF THE IVADING FORCE ON ALL FRONTS AND YOU MANAGE TO BE DEFEATED BY A BUNCH OF HUMANS IN TWO MONTHS PETHETIC! PATHETIC I SAY!
Darius: ME?!? MY STRATEGIES AND PLANS WORKED!
Kikimora: THEY WORKED FOR 3 HOURS! AND ONCE THE REPORT CAME IN THAT HUMANS WERE MOBILIZING THEIR ARMIES YOU WERE INSTANTLY GETTING PUSHED BACK!
Darius: MY ARMIES HELD THE LINE FOR 2 MONTHS IN SPECIFIC REGIONS!
Kikimora: YEAH! SPECIFIC REGIONS! YOU SAID YOU GOT PUSHED BACK FROM A MAJORITY OF OUR WOULD BE TERRITORY BY NOW!
Darius: Maybe if you stopped MEDELING WITH MY BATTLE PLANS WE WOULDN'T BE IN THIS MESS!
Eberwolf: *Growl*
Darius: OH SHUT UP YOU MUTT!
Kikimora: I WILL HAVE YOUR HEAD FOR THIS!
Just then a messenger walks through the throne room doors
Messenger: YOUR MAJESTY! YOUR MAJESTY!
Kikimora: WHAT IS IT?!?! CAN'T YOU SEE THAT YOU ARE INTERUPTING AN IMPORTANT MEETING RIGHT NOW?!?!
Messenger: Forgive me your majesty but I bring urgent news!
The messengers tone is one of panic and confusion
Kikimora: WHAT IS IT?!?!
Messenger: We have spotted thousands if not millions of human ships just off of our coastline! We believe them to be war ships!
"WHAT!?!?" all the coven heads in the room say at the exact time.
Just then a loud boom could be heard and then another, and then another.
Darius: "W- we- were under attack."
Boiling Isles empire, Bones burrow local jail:
After they failed to stop Belos from commencing the "Day of Unity" and failing to stop the coup immediately after Luz and the rest of the Owl House gang were thrown in the Bones burrow local jail after Kikimora deemed them a waste of space to keep in the comformatorium. But they weren't complaining as the Bones Burrow jail was much more comfortable than the comformatorium. Regardless of all this it had been a rough few months for the bad girl coven gang. They felt horrible, they felt like they let everyone down. No one felt more that way and as distraught as Luz did. Not only did she feel like she failed everyone around her but she feels like she's responsible for what she see's as the fall of the human race. Kikimora put crystal a crystal ball in Luz's cell so she could hear the progress they've been making on the invasion to mock Luz. For the first few hours of the invasion Luz felt helpless. She couldn't help but think that she is responsible for the downfall of the human race. Amity and her friends along with Eda were all there to comfort her but it seems like she was lost. They all were at that point. Until something interesting happened. The humans pushed back most of the Boiling Isles armies. everyone in that cell was shocked to hear that. Come two months later they would be shocked once more to hear that the invasion against the humans has completely failed. Everyone had emotions of Joy, confusion, and shock, with the latest report that the Boiling Isles empire is now the one being invaded by the humans.
Amity: w- wow the humans did it
Lilith: I- I don't believe it! this is a shocking development!
Willow: Ho- How did this happen!?!
Luz: YES YES YES YES YES!!! WHOOO YEAH BABY!
Gus: THIS IS UNBELIEVABLE!! I- I've never been more proud to be the president of the human appreciation society!
