    What counter top oven do you use? Looking for recommendations on a good sub $100 oven for sublimation.

      I have the Hamilton Br\each XL Rotisserie Convection oven. Here’s the rather pricey Amazon link. amzn.to/3mhfSid Also check out Walmart. They put it on sale every once in a while! Thanks for watching!

    Thanks for sharing and they looked great! Nice to know the results over 2-week period too and to know it didn’t slightly fade over time.
    On another note, are you still planning to do a video testing red and black sublimation colors?

      Thanks, Tracey! I do anticipate them not holding up as well as a stainless steel tumbler, but they’ve held up surprisingly well so far! And yes, I am going to do a video on reds and blacks. Hopefully it’ll be soon. I have a couple other videos that’ll come next, but I promise I’ll get it made! Thanks for watching!

    Have done these settings with a tumbler press and mine are coming out faded not as bright as yours. Any suggestions

    • @industrialfringe953
      @industrialfringe953  2 года назад

      If they’re faded, they’re probably not baking long enough. Use a faded one to test. Try a new image with more time. If that doesn’t work, reuse the same can and try less than you first did. I’d bet you need more time and/or temp! Thanks so much for watching!

      I have one that I use pretty often that’s still holding up well. As with any frosted glass, it’s more susceptible to scratches, and mine has a few, but nothing any different from other frosted glass!

    Hi Roy ! I'm a Newbie to all this, with a question. When printing the designs out are you using sublimation ink and paper ? I know you probably are, but it's never said so just making sure. Thanks, Peggy

      Hey, Margaret! Yes, I’m using TexPrint sublimation paper and Cosmos Ink ink. I use a ‘converted’ Epson 7710 to print all of my sublimation. My apologies for not specifying that in the video. Thanks for watching!

      Hey, Lakisha! I didn’t try any of the clear ones because I read on several Facebook groups that the clear didn’t work. Those comments were from people that had tried them. I think it has something to do the the frosted coating. Thanks so much for watching!

    thank you for this video. i just bought a portable heat press off Amazon and it says it heats up to 200 so not sure if this will work. but i guess i'll have to try but i'm going to join your group to see if anyone has tried it using this machine

    • @industrialfringe953
      @industrialfringe953  2 года назад

      Definitely join the group, there are a bunch of great people there that can help! One thing I can think of is to check and make sure you’re on Fahrenheit and not Celsius. Sublimation needs to get to 350 degrees for the ink to turn to gas. I’ve heard others achieve results at slightly lower temperatures, but 350 is the place you want to start. And thanks so much for watching!

      @industrialfringe953  2 года назад

      I don’t know, that’s a great question. You may be able to find something. I’d just be very careful about the safety aspect of adding a chemical to a drinking glass. I personally would not do it. Thanks for watching!

    Hi your videos are amazing, maybe they can be sprayed with clear cover I'm try it and maybe it can protect the ink.

    • @industrialfringe953
      @industrialfringe953  2 года назад +1

      Thanks so much, Marilyn! The ink has held up surprisingly well. It’s the frost-covered glass that I’m more worried about. But I think any frosted glass is susceptible to scratching. Your idea is fantastic. Because I sell mine, I’m always nervous about adding a coating, but I’m sure there are some out there just for this purpose. Thanks for the idea, and thanks for watching!

    Can you use etching cream to make your glass frosted and then sublimate on it?

    • @industrialfringe953
      @industrialfringe953  2 года назад +1

      Great question! Probably not, as sublimation requires a special polymer coating. Since etching cream essentially eats off a small amount of glass, the sublimation would probably not hold to the etched glass anymore than regular non-coated glass. But I’ll have to admit, you’ve peaked my curiosity! Thanks for watching!
