I'm a white guy from Canada. I have visited Rwanda maybe twenty times. It will be the country I live out my years. The most exciting country in the world.
The "Million Voices" song was a sound track for a movie called, hotel Rwanda which gave the whole sneak peek into the Rwandan genocide of 1994 between Tutsis and Hutu tribe in the country. But the song in a sense speaks to the whole of Africa to rise up and unite; put an end to ethnic bigotry.
The first time i listened to this sound track was when I watched the Hotel Rwanda. I was like I will get this track by all cost and I did. Cant stop listening to it.
When... just when... will we learn ...the joy of all the Children...from every part of our World...and live in Peace* for their sake* God Bless...the little Children*
This song makes me feel like shading tears,, the black children singing sweet melodies lay me back in the days of pac, biggie and X, "They don't know how we'll be". Now it's the future they talked of, Rwanda Kigali being the most smartest city in Africa .. lol
As this song notes, even in one tiny African country where there are only two main tribes they managed to have a genocide (and in neighboring Burundi with the same two tribes). Then think of nations with dozens of tribes where each one works for their own advantage. If one gets an airport then others want one, regardless if it is needed or not.
The dynamics energy of my brothers and sisters while singing Much enjoyed. And why can't Afrika Be the United States of Afrika We need to pause this concern to our misleaders But they have been injecting with fear
Just watched the movie .... and I'm weeping ... God Bless RWANDA and all its people!!!! What a powerful song!!!! Love the kids singing ... :) Thank you kids and Wyclef !!!
I'm Apache Lipan of Texas the children are the best gift creator God gave us ,My ancestors would say Women are Holy they give life ...We must protect the warrior woman at all cost or we cease to exist....Forgive us lord.....😢Help us..
I also happen to be from Goa. Love this song albeit in a tragic context. Nice to see the smiles on the faces of the children dancing in the background while the great Wyclef Jean sings with such passion in the foreground. God Bless Rwanda.

You are on point wyclef ,the oppressors don't want it and African leaders are mad slaves. Why can't we have united Africa.
As this song notes, even in one tiny African country where there are only two main tribes they managed to have a genocide (and in neighboring Burundi with the same two tribes). Then think of nations with dozens of tribes where each one works for their own advantage. If one gets an airport then others want one, regardless if it is needed or not.

Assisti o filme Hotel de Rwanda agora e deparei com essa musica, achei a musica linda
Hotel Rwanda and Sometimes in April are the movies that showed the depth of the genocide that happened in 1994
Ni ryari izuba, Rizagaruka
Hejuru yacu ni nd' uzaricyeza ricyeza
Ni ryari izuba, Rizagaruka
Hejuru yacu ni nd' uzaricyeza
Rwanda, Rwanda
Yeah, Rwanda, Rwanda
They said: "Many are called and few are chosen"
But I wish some wasn't chosen
For the blood spilling of Rwanda
They said: "Meshach Shadrach and Abednego
Thrown in the fire but they never got burned"
But I wish that I didn't get burned in Rwanda
They said: "The man is judged according to his works"
So tell me Africa, what's your worth?
There's no money, no diamonds, no fortunes
On this planet that can replace Rwanda
Rwanda Rwanda
Yeah, Rwanda Rwanda
These are the cry of the children
Rwanda Rwanda
Anybody hear my cry?
If America, is the United States of America
Then why can't Africa, be the United States of Africa?
And if England, is the United Kingdom
Then why can't Africa unite all the kingdoms
And become United Kingdom of Africa?
Rwanda Rwanda, Rwanda Rwanda
Yeah, yeah
These are the cries of the children, yeah
Can anybody out there hear our cries?
Yeah, heavens cry, Jesus cry
Lord, did you hear us calling you?
Yeah, Rwanda Rwanda
Lord, did you hear us calling?
Can you do something in Rwanda?
Rwanda Rwanda, Rwanda Rwanda
I'm talking 'bout Jesus; talking 'bout
Rwanda Rwanda Rwanda
Talking 'bout... talking 'bout...
Talking 'bout... talking 'bout...
I wanna play my guitar for Rwanda
I love their energy❤❤❤
