The bird bit just reminded me of an old northern joke poem from years ago:
“If I had the heed of a sparrow & the geet big arsed of a crow,

I'm gutted I never got the chance to go to one of his live shows. RIP Sean
I saw him once absolutely hilarious!

Please stop accepting gambling ads for these wonderful comedy clips? I look at these early in the morning, to put a smile on my face before taking on the woes of the world and hearing the depressing news. Not to be assailed by shouty, addiction peddling, immoral gambling ads (which should be banned in the same way that cigarette ads were) ruining the whole experience.
Comedy marred by addiction peddlers is just not as funny.

@@tweedlio2763 There's no need to explain, because the OP is reading in to it too much and is thinking Sean is using a double entendre and is meaning 'girls' aren't funny. But he isn't, he just said it because he realised the line he used about something the bird said, wasn't that funny.

I like the vast majority Sean's work, but the Susan Boyle gag could have come out of the mouth of Bernard Manning or Jim Davison: just wrong.
What’s wrong with it? Her whole thing was she’d never had a boyfriend. More insulting to assume she’s not a virgin based on that.

Susan Boyle has talked openly about virginity. Anne Widdicombe has, too. I get what you're saying. The joke seems more cruel towards Susan, but we shouldn't underestimate her resilience.
