The editing on this is legit incredible. Such a great way to segue from the uneasiness of the mystery tape into the love of the craft and then making it clear in the end that it had an effect with that last glitch. Chef's kiss, top notch stuff. You're this close to forcing me into Patreon lmao
Had to pause to comment on this. The first part of the video was simply superb. I have never seen anything like it. So much so that I instantly subbed. This is a project so out there that it makes me happy to know it exists, even if I never get to do anything even remotely similar to it with my music and art. It inspires me to see so much creativity and drive. This is on another level. This is absolutely incredible. I have never seen any of your videos, but I'm so glad the good ol' algorithm worked for the best once again.

@PeterJnicol I would say the latter, as for me from what I heard and saw in the video, it all had an 80s, early 90s vibe. It reminded me of Muzak, jingles an TV ads from that time. Though I have to add, Muzak was invented in the 50s.

I understand why you specify Brunswick so succinctly, because it’s such a random place for something on this frequency to materialize at in the flesh. *Edit - what’s up with the water down there? It’s smells and taste …different. Or am I cr6@zy$?
@AtheistLuvXmas you're not crazy. I actually work for the water utility. We have a high natural sulfur level that's reduced by aeration but not enough to remove the odor. We also use all groundwater wells, and very little treatment is necessary....chlorine to inhibit bacterial growth and phosphate to reduce scaling in the pipes. Almost 100% of the time when somebody mentions the taste, I find that they're from an area that has surface water plants where a lot of treament and filtering takes place, or they have a shallow private well that doesn't have the same mineral content.
When the song-and-artist captions started appearing in the corner as new songs played, I thought "Okay, so this is an album and not a weird cult, then. It'll be fine!"
The detail I find the most entertaining is they used a widescreen in the book, and filmed/filtered it to look like it should be on a 4:3 ratio screen. I caught you folks :)

There is usually many videos in my feed which are about ARG and Vaporwave. Since I’m old as I am and lived the nineties, I love the same hiphop as Digging the greats. So this video was sandwiched between ARG and Vaporwave videos for me. It was nice to have a fresh reaction to Simon Adler project. But like many piece of art, it didn’t appear out of nothing. In this case, even though this is new, his influences are really apparent. That said, the music seems really cool.
I knew from the beginning this had to be a music project, but you managed to sell the idea of being dragged into some occult reality bending stuff so well that I almost thought it was real. I love your videos!

I had this kind of idea several years ago, but never got around to it. Lofi synths and drum machines sounding like hold music for some lost 80s finance bro spiritual enlightenment cult. Starting with basic health and wealth platitudes, culminating in ascending beyond your physical form (leaving all your net worth to the cult to help others achieve ascension, of course). But this guy really pulled it off way beyond what I imagined!
That was fun and clever.... this reminds me of when i was a volunteer at a community radio station in the 80s-90s. Lots of recorded material came in all the time and some of it was odd concept stuff like the Church of the SubGenius. It was perfect for late night programming, make everybody scratch their heads a bit. Also, as a child in the 70s i vividly recall walking through shopping centers with my parents to the ghostly strains of Muzak...Montovani pumped in everywhere. Was it all a dream?
