- We've got the newest ego chainsaw and that's the 56V Power+ 20" Farm and Ranch chainsaw, the CS2000. I took it out to the ranch to tear up some fallen oak, so we're gonna see what this thing has in the tank at full capacity!
I'm also gonna tell you about the features, specs, and design notes that make this thing one of the best battery powered chainsaws on the market.

They should have kept the guard up there but made the brake a push button. EGO have the best battery operated yard tools imo. I'm a Milwaukee guy but 56v vs 18v is a no brainer.
Would’ve liked to have seen this saw cutting some thicker logs in this review.
Thank you. 🐱
It is a good looking saw, just not quite as heavy duty as the Greenworks 60V 20” saw. That thing has a metal skid plate on the bottom of it! It’s a beast and a half!
This product has disappeared. I cant find the farm and ranch version anywhere
What is the run time on those 3 modes?
What is the weight?
I can find the CS2000 and CS2005 for sale at the usual places, but nowhere are they labeled "Fam and Ranch". Nor is there anything on the EGO website about Farm and Ranch. Are you sure what you are showing actually the CS2000 or is there some other version that just isn't available for sale yet?
Maybe it's called the CSX5007? Perhaps the one we want is the CSX5000?
How does it compare to the DeWalt 60 volt 20" chainsaw?
I can tell you that you'd be happier & satisfied with what you get for the money going with the ego. For some reason Dewalt doesn't always seem to deliver on reflection of it's price tag.
@@nicoctane1669 I got the worm style saw 6 AH bettery and charger for $225. Saw works great
Tell us the uses/benefits of having more than one speed.
One goes faster than the other.
I don't like vacuums with a low setting either.
Owning this saw myself, you can get a lot more run time at lower speeds, and if all I’m doing is smaller cuts, branches, etc the lower speeds and Eco keep me from charging as much
I have a 10 amp hour battery. The Amazon link for this chainsaw says that it will work, but it is not ideal. Is there any reason why a larger battery would not be ideal other than balance?
Add a usb-c port for charging your phone
😂 good joke
Looks good enough to cut twigs in this demo, how about real wood?
I have an 18 it worked great
How does this compare to the 500i
Stop with the lights and screens.
A simple thumb scroll for speed.
Ego battery equipment is always too heavy, the batteries are bulky heavy and as a commercial user the battery not last a year, but the warranty will cover battery for 2 years so easy swap
Well once you get to this size of chainsaw it’s gonna be a heavy beast for the job it is intended to do. If weight is a concern then you’re stuck with 16” or smaller!
I love my CS2005, but I cant find any info on replacement parts. Can I put an Oregon bar or chain on it? Hiusqvarna? I cannot get any answers from anyone.
The spewvcs on my CS2005 is a .050" guage chain withb .325 pitch and 78 drive links.
Oregons H78 chain has those specs. So will it work?
You can put another bar all need to do make sure us the same metric the chain tell you exactly what you need to do the size or king chain it same bar ..when try install another bar like Oregon check ego type chain and compare to Oregon chain if is the same and that it . obviously ego don't say nothing about if you can but like I say to try put another bar is like yo buy new pear tennis shoes all need make sure get you right side correct 😊 good luck 👍
All depends on the bar mount pattern. Stihl, Husqvarna and Milwaukee all like to use different bar mounts, its likely that Ego use one of them.
