    She was escorted out because she was acting aggressive and thought she was going to get a payday. There are two safety mechanisms.

    • @oddynuffdasnowleopard5046
      @oddynuffdasnowleopard5046 23 дня назад

      To make her look even more stupid, there are only one safety mechanism. The collar which she is referring to that came off isn’t for safety precautions, it’s for scared riders comfort because a lap bar which is the real safety mechanism may scare some riders because of how free you are.

    • @karinaescott505
      @karinaescott505 23 дня назад +106

      You saw the safety belt fly off , of course she should claim for it 😮😮

    • @oddynuffdasnowleopard5046
      @oddynuffdasnowleopard5046 23 дня назад

      @@karinaescott505 it’s not a safety belt, it’s for riders comfort only. All she needed to do was clip it back in and boom fixed. What needs to be done is for those comfort collars to be removed because like I said they are unnecessary. For examples many of this electric eel ride also known as a sky rocket II model has no comfort collars and only a lap bar which is the only safety mechanism present on the train. Search up Superman at discovery kingdom and you will see what I mean

Thankfully OSHA and the manufacturer of Electric Eel will back SeaWorld, especially with the recent safety upgrades. Everyone is asking why this ten year old girl looks like a teen. Unfortunately my friends, we are not in Generation Z and before anymore… Back when we were 10 we’d wear unicorn pants and character shirts, things sadly changed. Most young Gen alpha kids dress like this normally. I have a neighbor who’s kid is 10 but dresses like a teenager and has social medias, she is sassy and curses and is harassed by predators (don’t worry me and other neighbors and helping it get it under control bc her parents don’t care). Many of you probably even noticed, all over RUclips there is VERY young children cursing and thinking they’re a teenager when they’re a literal child. It breaks my heart how parents are raising these poor kids these days. Many kids don’t have a childhood anymore, right when they’re 7 they are automatically a teenager in their heads. We really need to take action about this problem that’s happening all around us! We need to talk more about this to the public. Any ideas on how to raise awareness my guys?

  • @RayBcv1030
    @RayBcv1030 25 дней назад +91

    As scary as this incident is. The girl was not in danger in the slightest.
    The comfort collars are not the primary restraint on the ride. The lapbar is. The comfort collars are there to act as a secondary restraint in case the main restraint fails (which is a impossible scenario as that would require both hydraulic cylinders to go out on the car. Which, would absolutely be noticed by ride the ride operators). A replica of this ride located at Six Flags Discovery Kingdom in Northern California without these collars for over 10+ years and has had no accidents.
    That said, I wish there was more clarity between the ride operators and the manager about this whole scenario. If I was a ride operator there, I would've called up to maintenance to have them fix the collar then explain how her daughter wasn't in danger once the girl wasn't as panaked. And by no means should they have been thrown out of the park. That's unacceptable.

    • @DavidEngh
      @DavidEngh 24 дня назад

      The comfort collars are likely to help ensure the lap bar is down far enough to properly hold larger guests. If larger guests are unable to buckle the comfort collars, that means the primary restraint isn't down far enough to secure the guest. It makes it easy on ride operators to tell if a guest fits or not. Most belts on any rollercoaster serve this purpose and newer ride's will also have computerized go / no go restraint heights to ensure the safety of larger riders.

    hiiii former seaworld ride operator here
    SeaWorld is a terrible company and they deserve shade for it but nobody's safety was endangered in this incident, the "comfort collars" aren't a part of the ride's safety mechanism, they are there solely to make riders feel more comfortable (obviously a bit counterintuitive when a malfunction occurs, but in general operation people tend to prefer the presence of something over their shoulders to make them feel more secure).
    I should also note that despite SeaWorld being awful, they do have rigid safety procedures and (from what I gather from employees at other amusement parks) is a lot more serious about safety than pretty much any other park. I'm fairly certain this is because they want to avoid any new bad publicity like the plague, especially when it comes to their rides, given that they are planning on transitioning to a ride-based strategy. If there's any theme park you won't die at, I'd put my money on SeaWorld. Still you shouldn't go there lol, I'm here to defend my rides not my employer

    I'm old enough to remember when people still cared and did the right thing.
    Something similar happened to me & our family when I was young at Magic Mountain.
    A lady 2 rows from us, the seat bar that holds people into our seat during roller coaster rides, hers somehow malfunctioned and opened up by itself during our ride. Her husband who was sitting next to her kept his arm around her during the 2 minute ride and she was screaming for dear life.
    A young man sitting behind her also wrapped his arms around her to keep her in her seat when he saw her seat bar opened up.
    As soon as we got back to the station, the lady, her husband, the young man behind her and me and my cousin started complaining to the workers and told them what happened.
    They immediately shut down the ride that second, and dispersed everybody that was in line until they investigate what happened during our ride.
    The lady and her husband were distraught and rightfully so.
    I remember management immediately rushed over to us, called their internal ambulance and gently took the lady and her husband away while consoling them.
    I guess it's no longer lucrative shut down a ride to make sure it's safe again for people to write in.

      Well that’s different cause the seat bar is the restraint to keep you in the ride where as the comfort collar is not the lap bar is, comfort collar is just for comfort they even tell you to not pull on it, now if the lap bar popped up then that’s a different story, she was just looking for a lawsuit

    That would be a scary situation if it was my daughter and she was on that ride, but here’s the thing it was a comfort strap. It was not a safety harness. There’s a big difference there and because they refused to close the ride down woman’s making a bigger deal out of it than it should be your daughter was never in any danger, it was a comfort that’s all. Please read up on that so you know exactly what a comfort strap is and I’ll bet you anything she’s going to make this about money. She’s going to file a lawsuit because everything these days is about lawsuits and money no wonder why our country is so bad financially. I understand how scary it was. I can only imagine how I would feel if that had been my daughter, but your daughter was never in any danger so please don’t make this about money so you can get some kind of financial payout they offered you for free tickets. I would’ve taken that.

    It’s exactly that, a comfort collar. It is there simply to prevent people from feeling uncomfortable forces that can happen when you don’t follow ride rules. This same coaster model runs without them all over the world (and it’s honesty a better ride without them). I’ve been on hundreds of coasters and many times these add ons to restraints just cause unnecessary panic because the average rider thinks it is what keeps you secured. My opinion, if it does not lock or act as a true restraint, it should not be there.

I saw them starving one whale in particular who seemed just too tired and depressed to do the trick they were demanding. Not to mention it was one of the orcas with a bent fin and after failing to follow directions they fed the other two orcas that came out fish, and then forced that one back into the other side of the pool tank where it was to remain alone and starving. I got so mad I couldn't help loudly blurting over and over "THAT IS INHUMANE THEY ARE STARVING THAT POOR WHALE HOW COULD THEY DO THAT?" while the people around me just kept clapping and smiling ..

In fact there are exact clones of this ride by the same manufacturer all over the world and most just have the lap bar and no comfort collars.
