    Easiest way to teach this. Thank you. My daughter learned at camp but forgot by the time she got home. I have tried other videos to get this down and none were as easy as this. Thank you.

    for everyone who says it doesn't work, clearly it DOES because he does it right there in front of you on the video. you just need to watch carefully and when you tug everything together, make sure you do it slowly and pull every string at the same speed/length. you might need to mold it a bit on your own at the end, it took me ten tries but i finally got a great stitch start.

  • @rebeccashi9479
    @rebeccashi9479 12 лет назад

    omigosh!! i actually got it!! yayyyyyy!
    if anyones having trouble with this, the position has to be the same as his, and when you pull on the strings, the strings you started out with (the loops) has to be pulled in the opposite direction that its in. not sure if thats going to help, but i hope you all get it too!

      The problem that you’re having is that you are letting the ends of the first string stay open. If you notice that there isn’t a loop on a string and that it is just a straight string, you have to go over that one and under the next one.

    Hello my fellow craftlace/boondoggle/gimp/lanyard creators. I have been looking at this video several times, which I do know how to start and finish and mostly I have been reading your comments, some good and some bad. I AM NOT THE CREATOR OF THIS VIDEO but some of the comments posted got me thinking because some people say when they are doing the square stitch it becomes a knot when they remove the stitch off there finger. So I said why not do a video on how I do the square stitch without it going into a knot. With that being said you can watch my video on the square stitch that is not knotless when you remove the beginning stitch from your finger. The name of my video is Boondoggle/Lanyard/Craftlace/Gimp Square Stitch - Knotless Starting Stitch or you can pull my name up and see my video (Melissa Reid Boondoggle).
