    did you ever heard about quadruple father cobra? I made one! you will need 16 to 18 feet of gimp and 2 pieces. they are all the same lenth. its like the same but just more layers. you start a square stitch and do 44 stitches then turn your lanyard and do a 2nd layer. once you get to the bottom, turn your lanyard and do the third layer. again, do the forth layer after you get to the bottom. then do your last stitch and put your strands through the hole at the center of the stitch. you are done!!

    Ok so I figured it out that you can do the cobra stitch like a normal square
    stitch but instead of pulling it all together you keep them going around the one you started with if that makes sense

    Hey, what happens to the pattern of the father cobra if you don't alternate between the clockwise/counterclockwise turns? Or would the stitch just not work out at all

      the stitch uses 4 strands, he used 2 strands and started at the midpoint.

      Laneyards I made the square stitch lanyard, and started it with a knot - I guess I haven’t made a cobra, I made the mother cobra, but I can’t figure out which strand to use after I finish the first stitch, if I use the same one I just ended with or a different one..

      direction, it doesn’t actually matter which strand you start with. Make sense?
