Lovely to see you and your little fellah spending precious time together. It brings back memories for me, and he will treasure those times with you in years to come. I had lot's of fun with the Cox 0.49 and many others in the past.
I’m 52 yrs old. I’ve being interested in control line airplanes since I was about 8. It’s always been my favorite of the model hobbies. The best part for me is introducing new flyers to our classic sport !! You guys are doing Awesome. Thanks for sharing !!
Thank you for your comments I really appreciate it, myself I got in to this hobby wend I was 10 years old, I fly R/c now but trying to remember the good old days. We have more control line airplanes to film so stay tuned for more fun...
@@rcjrpilot can’t wait. I’m back into it, after hanging the lines up for some time. I have 3 new ships I’m working on. Hope to maiden flight all 3 real soon !! Tight lines 👍🏻😎
I flew small COX .049 plastic models early in my life but graduated to the stick built larger models like the Flight Streak with a Fox.029 way back in the day. These are great training experiences to go thru before you graduate to radio control or even actual pilots license. A Shoe string model .049 is quite the model to hang on to, when you are young or old.
I very much enjoyed watching this. I’ve seen this young man in previous videos. I really like how it’s his Dad doing this with him. It’s really good hobby. There is so much that he’ll learn that will benefit him all his Life.
Hi Keith thank you for your comments yes trying to do a little of everything, enjoying the outdoors and good memories. 👍 Have a great weekend and a happy 4th......
The thing that is hard to convey to people that have never flown control line is the fact that when you are the one flying the plane- you can feel the plane’s reaction to the flight dynamics in your hand. When the plane is flying fast coming from a dive, the control reaction is high and tiny movements of the control handle’s angle make large reaction to the attitude of the plane. And that feeling when doing your first loop- keeping the strings from going slack and willing the plane not to splat on the ground at the bottom of the loop! I still have a cox PT 19 that I flew in college and remember putting a 6-4 prop on and getting some 35 percent fuel- That was loop day!
Thank you for your comment and explaining the feeling of Control Line flying you couldn’t explain it better that’s exactly how I feel and after many years of RC flying. I got hooked up again with Control Line.
Good job! Maybe your young one won't end up glued to the xBox. I started with Estes model rockets at about ten years old and soon after CL planes. I'm 66 now, and so tempted to get out my old 35 powered planes again.
