One of my players, my brother, didn't realize until about halfway into our campaign that minotaurs are bipeds. It's a nation of almost entirely minotaurs.
Look. If you study skeletomuscular structure as it concerns mammals, as it does in the Encyclopedia Anatomicae, you can see that the "backwards knee" is really just an ankle attached to an elongated foot. The hoof is really the "toes" or the metatarsals and phalanges of the foot. All mammals have the same muscles and bones but they greatly vary in length, size, and density. Tldr: she doesn't have backwards knees, she walks around on her toes.
Just to be "that guy," the confusion comes from the fact that what we think are knees on ungulates are actually ankles. The hoof is equivalent to toes, the lower part of the leg is the foot, what we think is the thigh is actually the shins, and the actual thigh is quite short and almost completely tucked into the body. The thigh muscles are quite thick and strong, and the rest of the leg serves as a sort of spring to leverage the power of the thigh muscles. Of course Fearne walks upright, so who the hell knows what's going on.
Yeah, I honestly don't get why they gave him so much shit over where he thought her leg bends. They keep saying "hAvE yoU eVeR lOokeD at thE ArT?" She has a backwards bending joint in her art! He's just one joint off, but they were acting like he thought Fearne has wheels for legs.
@@rizerek They give Sam shit because they know he would give them shit right back if they ever made a similar mistake. Have you see him giving shit to Keyleth when her spells don't work out the way she thought they would? XD
All mammals have 2 main joints in their legs. Knees and ankles. Hoofed animals like horses have a very elongated section between section between their toes and ankle. So their ankle looks like their knees. If you have a pet like a dog or a cat look at their leg structure and compare it to yours
For full clarification, the vast majority of mammals have knees like us. What he sees as "backwards knees" is a little closer to small shins, long feet, and they're standing on their toes/hooves. So yes, you too probably have "backwards knees", they're just really tiny in comparison.
In terms of actual moves, as someone who doesnt really care for ice-skating in general but watched this channel because its filmed so well. This is the kind of performance that could make me a fan of ice skating. It was so free and joyful
Just looked at my dog and realised... is it actually humans that have backwards knees? Does literally everything else have knees and elbows that bend in the same direction and we're the freaks whose knees and elbows go in different directions?? I mean... maybe monkeys but we're sorta in the same house, right?
no, te knee s just higher. the "second knee" that bends backwards is jsut the ankle. The difference is that humans place the whole "foot" on the ground instead of just the tip of the toes. If you look at a dog skelleton model or sketch you will see it very clearly.
I think this is perfect because you can interpret Sam not knowing how Fearne's legs work as FCG not understanding biological life very well.
And also you know FCG has wheels instead of legs.
also also fcg has 8 intelligence
Only in a close-knit group of friends can someone say, "I've been picturing you naked this whole time..." and not get in trouble for it. 🤣
Almost nowhere would you get in trouble for that, in context.
I love how his confusion ultimately culminates to the fact that he thought Ashley straight-up just made a furry character
I love how they are still surprised Sam doesn't do things like look at the art.
I love his genuine confusion when Fearne mentiones her dress

tbf, Ashley keeps referring to pulling items out of her fur pockets, rather than from her clothes or fabric pockets.
I liked how one time when Ashley was absent everyone decided Fearne had a marsupial pouch.

I had to look at a drawing of a goat skeleton to understand this. But now I do!
@Blargh 6709 pretty cool huh? :)
@Blargh 6709 try bending your knees and walking on your toes,
Then imagine your heels are the backwards knees. Makes me want to make a satyr costume.
An additional spring for digigrade feet

I honestly thought she was a centor.
whatever the heck fearnes legs are, they can get wrapped around my goddamn head

Doing Gawds work. Thank you.
Sam has worse memory than Mister.
Idk about that, because Sam plays the long con before. He's building up to something.
Sam is the type of person who will make himself look dumb for the sake of making others laugh.
This is just as funny as Sam being shocked every time Fearne says she has a son.
I died watching this and sounded like a whistling kettle for a good three minutes.
When you roll a nat 1 on perception and then do it again later “your knees bend normally? Wait… you have a dress? I thought you were naked!”
Has Sam never seen an animal before?
every time he looks in the mirror ;)
what's an animal?
What's that?
i wish this was a bit, but knowing Sam there's no way it is a bit
Only after watching this vid did I find out she was a saytr
sam riegel has absolutely no clue how animal anatomy works, it’s hilarious

I've seen the art so I'm pretty sure fearne doesn't wear clothes
In her official art, she’s wearing a dress.
Wrong website Hephaustus, back in the forge with you.
This very much explains how confusingly he has described and pictured his own minotaur character. “Human face. Furry all over or whatever.” What?
Sam is a great role player, but he doesn't always pay attention to details about other characters 🙄 😂
only Sam x) lol i love these moments

major agree. i hope sam can tighten his routine by the next winter olympics
Sir this is a wendys
@@aribucks4189 xD how did my comment on another video get put here😂
Conspiracy theorists will say that the pictures he drew were on the back of the script of the show
