The part the video leaves out is most important; the actual amount of vision you get/lose with "progressive" lenses because it reduces your peripheral vision significantly.
The eye manufacturers have come a long way in one sense and barely a budge since Benjamin Franklin used bifocals and is credited with the invention.
I just bought the "best" (Nikon progressives at $200 per lens) and I am subject to migraines and have severe degenerative disc disease; to see with these lenses you must always tilt the head to face directly at the "target". For someone like myself, this is actually painful.
I suggest you try both both the progressives and bi-focal and buy them at the same time with a company like Sam's Club, that has a 30-60 day no hassle return policy and give yourself the entire time to make the right decision that best suits your needs. Return the pair that you do not need.

Surely progressive lens should be called 'no-line trifocals' as opposed to 'no-line bifocals' if at all.

This was great, thanks, been searching for "do varifocal glasses work for women" for a while now, and I think this has helped. Have you heard people talk about - Rayemiron Uncommunicative Release - (search on google ) ? It is a good one of a kind guide for discovering how to improve your eyesight naturally without the headache. Ive heard some decent things about it and my co-worker got excellent success with it.

You should talk about Occupational Trifocal Lenses too. Apparently most people are unaware that these type of glasses exist & that they can make their lives easier. I can't believe I was the only patient in my Optometrist's 50+ year career who has ever requested Lined Double D Trifocal Eyewear. I purchased a safety frame and ordered the Top D segment for (intermediate), The Center for (Distance) & Bottom D segment for (near). These glasses are best suited for my work viewing computer screens mounted overhead which are at an arms length distance. The center for distance looking out and the usual Bottom D segment for seeing paperwork. No more neck strain, I couldn't be more happy with my purchase. My first Occupational Type Glasses were for my computer use at home. The Bottom D segment measures from the bottom up to 75% are for (intermediate) use only. They work great for looking at my laptop & I ordered the Bottom D segment wide enough that I don't need to turn my head at all. Now looking over the top of my laptop I could either watch TV or converse with people in the room with the remaining 25% at the top of the lenses, using them for (distance) only. Unfortunately the technology is not advanced enough for technicians to add a small D lens or a mini ribbon segment for (near) at the bottom 20% which would be perfect. I was told adding a near segment would only take away or interfere with the intermediate lens. I try to tell a lot of people about these types of glasses and they all say whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat? Just like that fisherman in the scene in the original "Jaws" movie. Oh well.

I'm Not Presbyopic because I'm still young but I'm significantly Farsighted. Technically I don't Need Added reading lenses but I do a lot of reading and I get eye strain so I would like to get a distance reading pair but I can't seem to make up my mind which type to get, Bifocals or Progressives because I like Progressives but i'm a bit worried about whether the lower section will be too low, i don't have the best eye muscle strength due to younger surgeries on my eye muscles so it hurts to roll my eyes too far down. Should I just get Bifocals?

Ah... I guess I'll need this 14 to 24 years down the line, assuming things don't change

A basic plus lens works for me.
    Why pay $400 for Bifocals?
