I think I've finally conquered it. My eyelets are finally lining up . I persevered. Thank you fiber spider for another cozy shawl . I AM USING RED HEART STRIPES IN THE COLORWAY LATTE.I'M GLAD I DIDN'T GIVE UP.
Thank you for the excellent, informative video. I appreciate your giving such detailed instructions. I have started and restarted this shawl pattern several times and now I am proceeding and enjoying knitting it.
I am a lifetime crocheter but, new to knitting just under 2 years. Your videos definitely make me feel that I can do this! I am running out and getting yarn to start this beautiful shawl! One thing I like to do because I am horrible at picking up my work and remembering where I left off is placing a stitch marker on the side where the pattern begins. This way I know no marker on the side I am working means knit through, marker means pattern. Thanks for being so patient and thorough!
Another triumph Spider. I really love that tutorial. Shawls are the business. I'm gonna give this one a go. You've inspired me ever since the butterfly shawl. Thanks so much. Keep smiling.
Huge thank you from The Netherlands!!! Your tutorials are so good to follow and your voice is really calm and relaxed! I enjoy listening to you, and learning how to knit!!
You are so patient and thorough! I'm going to try to knit this up as an homage to the Claire shawls seen on the Outland series. Hope mine comes out close to the real deal! Thanks for taking time to record and post this tutorial.
I have been looking around for shawl patterns so YT showed me this video of yours. I like how it’s done and may make this out of a sport weight yarn. 😊
I was having a hard time understanding the difference between a bottom up (shaped by increases) and a top down shawl. This video was so helpful! Thank you so much!
Thanks so much for your postings. I just finished a triangle shawl using Red Velvet Caron Cakes yarn. Like you, I love that yarn. But I purchased some Bernat Pops and I'm going to make this shawl using that yarn the color is Lipstick On Your Collar. 😊
Another great "TV Watchin" pattern. Thanks! I have made nape-down shawls like this before, and found that it was easier to find the center by adding another stitch marker on the other side of the "spine" stitch, not to mention it maintains the ever-popular symmetry we all love. Please keep up the great work!
Thank you for this podcast, till I get the KNIT PRAYER SHAWL book and right cotton yarn, in knitting this pattern with RedHeart yarn from Walmart 4 ply worsted weight.
I love that every time I click on your videos I get the most beautiful voice to patiently explain the Stitches to me. Thnks for all the help you give. We love you too 😘😉👍🏻
I love all of your tutorials💝 🌟. Wondering if you have ever considered a tutorial on a knit or crochet (or both) Sontag? There isn’t much out there for such a thing; but it looks fun😍.
1 Lovely Tutorial, I will give this a try as well. Seems familiar to one of done called, the "Serpine", by Kristine Omdahl one of her first! Thank you!
I think it is beautiful I have to do this shawl I don’t knit a lot of things I can pearl and knit just learn how to add stitches on to make a Shawl but I think this one is beautiful I want to get where I can knit a baby sweater😊
Fantastic pattern! You explain it so well. I finished one, and am starting another. Is it possible to use stockinette stitch with this pattern? Kitting the odd rows, and purling the even rows? Thanks!
Thank you for this video. It refreshed my memory for the last triangular shawl I knit. The last shawl, I added stockinette rows too, with eyelets to relieve the monotony. ;P
Question can you do a easy shawl on a knitting loom I really want to make one for my mom and I'm having trouble understanding it every one goes so fast on it you explain so nicely to everyone I love ❤️ your work thank you for sharing ur fan Jodie
I would suggest you mention about the three dots on the right side upper screen so people could slow down the speed that way you could make videos knitting faster.
If you're ever looking for a project, would you consider doing the dragon tale Shawl? It is a shawl with little teeth along one side. I am a fairly new netter about a year or two. I love knitting shawls. With your help I look very good. I enjoy your videos and have learned a tremendous amount about knitting. Please consider this as your next project I would love to see how you knit those little teeth along the side by casting off a certain amount of stitches.
Totally not trying to be a pain, but I'm a new knitter and was wondering if I could ask for a written pattern. I understand if not. this video is AWESOME and hopefully I won't cuss to much when I try it
Hi , I love this pattern and I do understand what to do, trouble is, I keep losing concetration and make mistakes, like forgetting to do the occasional increase. Very frustrating, as it throws the pattern out completely.
Hello Sir, and thank you for your wonderful video! I have mastered this project pretty well, but when I get further into the shawl, the eyelets for some reason keeps getting thrown off, and the eyelets end up a little ways over. I have done everything that you have instructed, but still my eyelets are thrown off. Can you tell me what I'm doing wrong? Let just say now that I have been able to correct the wrong that I"ve done. I now have 3 of these shawls that's the verigated kind, thanks to my sweet sister who inspired me to do 3 verigated top-to-bottom shawls.
I see that the peep hole is accomplished top down. I should have stressed point up instead when I left a message sorry. I will try this one too. Top down? It is the bottom up but what do I know point smallest part to the longest exactly what I was looking for! thank you for your tutorials! Days later: Yep this is the one I want to do.
Cast 3 stitch Row 1 Knit 1, yarn over, place marker, knit the next stitch, yarn over, knit the last stitch Row 2 Knit all stitches Row 3 Knit 1, yarn over, knit to the marker, yarn over, place the marker, knit the next stitch, yarn over, knit to the last stitch, yarn over, knit the last stitch Row 4 Knit all stitches Hope this would help 😊
There is a Nother shot has a very unusual shape. It's called "close to you". I just don't get the short rows ..that is something that you need to help us with.. please please 💋
Ashley Erkes i see it’s been a while, but did you figure it out? It was happening to me, and my SIL explained that when you pass the stitch marker, you have to make sure your working yarn goes behind the marker before you YO for the next stitch, otherwise, the stitch marker gets shifted over and you start your next YOs early.

Hi , I love this pattern and I do understand what to do, trouble is, I keep losing concetration and make mistakes, like forgetting to do the occasional increase. Very frustrating, as it throws the pattern out completely.

Arachknits? Did he just say Arachknits? That's awesome! lol
I followed this pattern and for some reason my center eyelets don’t stay straight any suggestions?
Ashley Erkes i see it’s been a while, but did you figure it out? It was happening to me, and my SIL explained that when you pass the stitch marker, you have to make sure your working yarn goes behind the marker before you YO for the next stitch, otherwise, the stitch marker gets shifted over and you start your next YOs early.
beautiful☺thank you!
The stitch marker is confusing me. Why do we need it?
It isn't absolutely necessary, but I found that it helps.
It would be easier to and understand if you use 2 stitch markers.
Were do i get the pattern at for this one
I got it, I got it!!!! Yae, thank you!!
Allow how many grams of yarn were used
