Even if you don't get up to much, it's really great just to go get a tea or coffee from a cafe and hang out. I liked having tea by the train tracks where the train passes through something scary like a few inches from the buildings. Nice little thrill.

Try and aim for the early evening (about 6.30) The Opera Bar faces straight onto the Harbour Bridge and at that time there will no doubt be one of the huge cruise ships pulling out from Circular Quay …it’s a great sight. Visit a city like Nam Dinh if you're in north Vietnam! You won't have time for Sapa or other places, unless you can get buddy flights through their national airline. Have fun! Lived in Vietnam for five years.
