Furious Hamilton Drops Bombshell After Suzuka Walkout!
As expected, Max Verstappen and Red Bull returned to winning ways in the land of the rising sun. There the Milton Keynes team secured a one-two finish, with Max driving a clean and clinical race and Checo once again demonstrating his ability to brawl and do the dirty work to fight through the field after the early strategy shifts. While it was a dominant performance from Red Bull, it was by no means a quiet race, with an absolute smorgasbord of strategy and unpredictable conditions creating the perfect canvas on which a thoroughly entertaining race could unfold. Now I might be biassed, as Suzuka is one of my favourite circuits on the calendar, but this race seemingly had a little bit of everything. An early crash, changeable weather conditions across the weekend and strategy so split that it’d make a banana blush, Sazuka made the early alarm clock worthwhile, and proved why it saw an extension in its tenure in F1. However it wasnt all peachy, as highs and lows were had in equal measure, and while Red Bull and Ferrari made the most of the weekend, Mercedes had yet another stinker, bogged down in the lower points positions and being handed breadcrumbs by mistakes.

So where was the "I've had enoygh" from Hamilton? Telling them to change the strategy because the car was not handling well hardly qualifies as "I've had enough". He damaged a side board on the front wing tbat caused the car to understeer. My guess is he wanted a change to minimize losing positions.

While I do agree that F1 has the worst racing (if you can even call it that) of any motorsport, I think what Max is doing puts him firmly in the "best racing car driver alive" spot. I'm not even a Max fan, but over the last couple of years he would wipe the floor with anyone else on the grid in the same car. Put him in a Ferrari and neither Charles nor Carlos could touch him, put him in a Merc and neither Lewis nor George could lay a finger on him.
He is Ayrton-esque and I think what he has been doing will dawn on the large public only years after he's retired, when the emotional bias against a dominant racer dies down. Max Verstappen is not the reason why F1 is boring, it manages to be that all on its own.
