  • India's most famous Jain temple located in the Indian state of Rajasthan began construction in the 14th century and went on till the 15th century. Since this temple is located inside a forest, this makes it an off-beat destination. This Jain temple has 84 bhonyras. Bhonyras are underground chambers that were built in the earlier times during disturbance to prevent the attacks on Jain idols.
Rajat and I visited the Ranakpur Jain Temple after our trip to Kumbhalgarh Fort. The place is very off-beat and we travelled on the mountain road which turned out to be very steep - to the point where Rajat had to get off the bike and walk for a while. The only way to reach this place is by bikes and cars. When you’re visiting Rajasthan, Ranakpur temple is one of the places recommended to visit.
