Thank you for this my friend. Decided to go digital a couple of years and treated myself to ddj-1000 for a milestone birthday. Well... talk about trying to fly the Starship Enterprise. Am completely lost and still have no clue what half/most of the functions do...but this is a start! Who knew there was a shift key? 😂
Please Answer! Will this work on a new XDJ-AZ or OPUS-QUAD?? I would really like to know if either one has Fader Start as well.. Can this hidden utility menu be found in the service manual of either one of these newer models? If so, how is it accessed ? Thank you so much for this amazing video! 😊
Wzup johnnyd3195. Unfortunately, after reviewing the manual, I do not see any indication that the two controllers have the "Fader Start" feature. I would recommend visiting your nearest Guitar Center and trying it if they have a demo unit, but the chances are slim that they implemented the feature and did not label it on the device or mention it in the manual. Best of Luck.
My DDJ-SZ came with a 19 page instruction manual @5:28 on this vid you mentioned page 27 where did you get your manual and how or where can I get a copy of that or where can I download it?
@@XFaderz sht is useless if you have to hold the shift down 🤣🤦♂️ used to do with Denon mixers all day years back and cdjs but can’t do it with a usb controller? Really Pioneer? 💀
@@XFaderz I emailed Pioneer and they confirmed you cant saying "No, sorry - the faderstart requires the shift button to be held down to trigger the function." :( thanks

I have an SX3 my fader has to go beyond half way from either deck to the other side before it starts fading. Is there a way to fix this ?
When in this how do you turn this setting off? Does the unit have to be off?

Thanks for confirming with Pioneer, and sharing their response. I'm sure this will help others as well.
