I just learned side mount in the Pacific nw and didn't receive any proper training. Have any suggestions for places in Mexico or around Washington state to learn properly?
Hey Mike, sorry that happened, it is, unfortunately, all too common. You absolutely need an instructor that either specialises in or dives sidemount a lot. I know from my own California experience that this is difficult to find on the West Coast. For sure in Mexico, there are many very good options. I personally trained with the team at Protec Tulum and would highly recommend them. There are others too. Have a scroll through the Mexico episodes of the Speaking Sidemount podcast for more.
