I know this Assyst service system is confusing, but is much more easy to understand if you enter service menu and then check exactly which service it want (4:20) Service 1 basic inspection Service 3 engine oil + filter Service 8 air filter Service 11 fuel filter. Sometimes service 8 is diff oil but that’s depend on which W212 model you have. You can check service sheet book and then decode this really easy. So don’t bother about the normal service menu with A, B1 etc is just confusing.
After the oil change at home, I press "OK" and "accept a phone call" to access the service reminder: There, my S212 calls Mercedes on its own to make an appointment because I still have one or two screws left I can't find where... 😄
This is a little obsessive. Who has time for this method? A little used oil left behind especially synthetic oil is of no consequence with today’s modern oils and oil filters. More importantly is to fix your oil leak. There’s oil everywhere under that engine. Good video, thanks for posting. Cheers!

That is such a pain taking all those access panels off, one would think the brains of mercedes design would have made it simpler by putting a small cover to gain access, I have to use the other method for oil service. Thanks for the video.

@@1bes636 Suck up the oil from the dipstick. No reason to ever go under the car to change the oil. I use an inexpensive 12v fluid extractor or the hand pump extractor works. Can either stick the tube all the way down or use the dipstick as the tube, just seal it off. I bought a rubber stopper at the hardware store and drilled a hole in the middle to fit the end of the suction tube it just plug off the top of the dipstick and turn the pump on, few minutes later all the oils sucked up.
You can also use an oil extractor to suck all the oil out through the dipstick tube, no need to go under the car. That is how they do it at the dealership

Try going into the engineering menu. Center console press and hold "Red Phone Button" + "1" + "#". After a few seconds the center screen should enter another menu. Use the round knob in the middle to move through the menu

SPECIAL WAY IS……How about buying 2x the oil and doing a flush … release all oil… refill. Release again… catch the oil run it through again!!! Then plug oil pan… run engine, turn off and release all oil… sit over night. Then use the new oil to do a regular refill. And you have successfully flushed the engine

@@MB212 Mercedes engines are dry engines, it is not normal to have liquid leaks, whatever they are. It is necessary to seek the origin of the leak(s) because problems can arise and be very expensive.
Ofc but is could look more worse then it is because of the long run it has go probably with this leak, and not had any wash before. I just mean is not any pile of oil under the car every morning ; )
Oh man that car is filthy. I was waiting to learn something new but instead watched the longest Mercedes oil change. One of the best features of my Mercedes is I dont have to go under the car to change the oil, just suck it up from the dipstick with electric pump. Theres something leaking in that car, should fix it.
Yah is a old taxi, is best way to remove the oil, keep use your pump to take oil you but soon the engine going to brake but is your choice because you go the easy way.

ATTENTION BEWARE…I broke my oil pan trying to brake the drain plug free…Cost me €800. The lower part of the oil pan is made of plastic.

In your operators manual under "Power Windows" will tell you how to reset Express opening and closing. Have to synchronize everything again.
