Ref Dan has really made such a great contribution to this tournament. He both understands the assignment that his job is not to turn this tournament into an ultra-competitive, technically-precise one, but at the same time he has kept all the teams within the guardrails of playing floorball instead of physical hockey. He's also had a net positive effect on Kevin, who has had far and away his best tournament as a ref and has made legitimate positive contributions himself. This is the exact type of officiating that makes the tournament better instead of worse.
I was glad he let Reagan and Pavel duke it out for a bit. Even if she was fouling him nonstop, it was fun that ref Dan let it play out for a bit for entertainment's sake lol
My favorite thing about him as a ref is that he has an explanation for every call/no call. He doesn't just blow the whistle because he wants to be on camera more. Not only that, he will take time to explain what he saw directly to the player to help them learn and get better. At one point I even noticed him crouching to chat with Jack while the ball was on the other end of the floor

Seems very inconsistent as a ref to me. Why was the second Rust penalty (11:40) worthy of awarding a power play but the slash by Luke in the third not a power play (33:00)?
@@ragnarwest1452 Because she had already been warned and penalized. It's that simple. He's been quite consistent in going easy on first time infractions to give them a chance to learn.

I might be a little biased as a hockey fan, but this might be the best warehouse tournament to date. Every game has been great
All the extra talent means no lopsided matchups. Hell even Pavel can get bodied up

Maybe it’s hard for the guest talent to shine in other sports, but the amount of talent they recruited for this is genuinely impressive.
Whoever decided to put KBG with Reagan and Zo is a genius. Their effort helps make up for the lack of mobility he has, and he’s a perfect combination to them with his hands, mentality and that accurate shot! Still love how Zo and Reagan play the game, although I can see why it maybe isn’t ideal for floorball 😂
for real, in captains league they needed a non goalie to keep the teams composure together, need a hockey playing vet to keep the team together
Shoutout to Lou Dab for getting the seat/waters. That type of effort is often unappreciated but is so helpful.

I love seeing the players helping out with some behind the scenes stuff. Feels like they appreciate being able to play in these tournaments and events. Such a collaborative effort with everyone helping out wherever they’re needed.

Fun game as always. WGI really made it a gameplan to take O'Brien out of the game, Rust and Zo did a great job. I also really love WGIs ball movement, those are always the most fun goals to watch.

The goalies that look like they’re doing less can often be better than the ones that look like they’re working hard.
My favorite tournament by far. Every season is better than the last. Man, I love this we got ice team. I hope they can stay together.
I kinda felt bad for Luke in this one, seemed like he rarely got the ball and when he did he got swarmed
It reminds me of Slapball when the other teams learnt to just harass and get in Luke's way because of his throw skill, he didn't look like he was having too much fun toward the end of that tournament. I get the competitiveness and strategy in blocking the top player but it's never that great to see when they don't get to 'cook' as the kids say, especially when it'd be more interesting content to see skillful evasions and goal attempts like previous games than just a wall of defence.
I mean yeah, that’s a legitimate gameplan and it worked. The game was close because Knorp and Alyssa improved their movement from last game and were able to be scoring options and not depend solely on Luke.
@@brunoemf90 I kinda disagree tbh, I think Alyssa and Jimmy could have passed to Luke more instead of missing as many shots as they did. I think the swarm was less of the problem here and the rarely getting the ball was what really killed them

Dan just needs to be a bit more disciplined in net. It’s his first time playing so we need to give him the benefit of the doubt. I hope next tournament he comes back with better rebound control and fundamentals. I actually think he has good reaction time and is legitimately talented at stopping the first shot.
we got ice has to have all around the best skill players in the tourney. Reagan and Zo also both have insanely high motors and can play defense. I can see the trouble Reagan is having though, the difference from actual hockey would trip me up too, for someone who obviously plays great defense in hockey, she has to hold herself back so much.
Both Reagan and Zo completely took Luke out of this game, Wooga's best weapon only real chance came on a garbage goal.
Hoping Zo and Reagan get separated next tourney would love to see them battle each other both a bit physical and stick check happy

These are the best teams in this tournament in my opinion. At least the most well rounded. Can’t wait to possibly see this match up in the playoffs again
Most well rounded skill players for sure. Woogas feels capped though like Del Caribe due to goalie. Jack is decent enough in goal to WGI contenders though.
Reagan is sick. Zo is sick. Kickball dad is sick. Jimmy don’t you dare disband this team next tournament. We could have a dynasty on our hands

@@JeffSkinner-x4oshe definitely locked him up. You might want to go rewatch it. When i watched it live i fell for pavel's complaining as well. However, before she ever slashed pavel got both his arms underneath her stick hand and raised up his arms in a very aggressive manner. He was clearly upset she was locking him up. Then when she "slashed" for the first time (and didn't even make contact) it wasn't really a slash it was more of an arm bar which is still kinda illegal but when she did that pavel really threw his his elbow at her and stick for that matter. Luckily he didnt hit her. Then the the only time she hit him the shin she was swinging at a loose ball trying to clear it, but he poked it away just in time and ran into her swing causing the contact on his shin. Then when she was actually penalized she did try to poke check and hit his stick so it was the correct call but don't fall for pavel's complaining cause she played great defense except for the penalty right at the end
wish woogas had a better female player but it is what it is hopefully they luck themselves into winning a playoff game or rourke gets lucky

The stick check penalty is quite possibly the most frustrating part of this entire series. Other than that, this is GREAT.
it is pretty ticky tacky but it needs to get called. It's mostly just a safety thing. They're not wearing gloves so you'd end up with many bruised/broken fingers if you allowed that. Not in the spirit of the warehouse

As great as Ice looked and played, it could have been even better.....KBD was out of position A LOT and him running over Jack leading to that one garbage goal was pretty bad. The dude has some nice snipe shots though. The final score definitely made Woogas look better than they were considering 3 of their goals were direct results of bad Ice play.
That goal should’ve counted at the end of the first. Something about the goalie just being able to move the posts makes no sense. The ball crossed the original line before the timer ended
The entire ball must cross the line, and the clock hit 0:00 before the ball was completely over. I think it was no goal even if you count the 0:00.xx milliseconds.
Watching Rourke give up multiple bad goals AND not helping Woogas with an extra man in the final minute. He’s not Warehouse Cup material. Woogas deserve better.
Finally we got ice is getting penalized. Last year they getting away with so many no calls

@@bradendamiani3551 we got ice is overly aggressive, and when things don't go their way or get called they get upset. Baggage just complains too much.
All teams still enjoy the games, but when they are just so focused and they battling it out, you can't help it that they are trying to get the win so bad.

@@jonbod8996 overly aggresive? They play defense. They have a lot of energy and they use that. Other teams just do not put as much effort into defending. Also they dont get upset they just suck it up and play

Shoutout Ref Dan! Dude is the perfect ref for this tourney. Doesn’t go crazy strict with it by any means but has a great eye and seems to call everything thats actually worth calling. Guy has great eyes and keeps the game going.
Plus I think even Kevin might have learned something from him at this point lol.
Rourkes goalie style of turning the short side into the long side is unlike anything I've ever seen.
You can't teach that. Leaving gaps that wide is raw talent.

Knorp stopping on a dime when Reagan fell even though they were both chasing after a ball with the entire warehouse counting down at the end of the 2nd shows you what kind of person he is at his core: good.
I’m glad that Reagan was called for the penalties tbh. Great player but she definitely gets chippy at times for floorball. As it turns out, that lit the right fire for her too. Awesome!

Woogas can take anyone in the league, if Rourke can figure out his positioning. We Got Ice is scary balanced, and I think is the best team going into the playoffs. Zo is a top offensive threat; he can pass, shoot, and responsible with the ball. Reagan is just an absolute dog on the floor. KBD is the savvy, seasoned vet, who calms everything down. And Jack is having fun (I think). Curious on the playoff bracket, but I'm gonna say Ice and Rotten play for the championship. D'Aversa will play at an All-Warehouse level to bring Rotten a championship.

This tournament has been absolute 🔥 so far. Everyone is playing great. Gotta give props to Reagan. She is relentless out there. Very fun to watch her play with that intensity. And ref dan is perfect for this.
Ref Dan doing a hell of a job this game, one of the funnest of the tournament so far. 10/10 from everyone involved, can see why Jimmy was saying this is (one of?) his favourite tournament from the warehouse.
I appreciated the Rose slide whistle.

What a game between my two fav teams. Love knorp being an MLW fan and from Boston so we got ice is always fun to watch. This tournament has been my favorite this year can’t want for playoffs
