I read long time ago that when using a dryer sheet the sandwich would be clear plate, new dryer sheet, cardstock, die, clear plate. Thanks for sharing.
Great demo of options for using Sizzix die cuts. I will call the Sizzix design team right away and have them get touch with you about some design updates needed. No fear my dear, I have friends in high places 😂❤
Hi, I got a Big Shot for Christmas and this is the most helpful video I’ve seen!! You’re a wonderful explainer, and it is so valuable to see your different results and what you try. Thank you!! Please keep going!!
Oh it is awesome! I use it sometimes as well! The first time I figured out I needed it was with the Leafy twigs panel. And I usually use it but for the video I wanted to use what most people have. I will be sure to mention that chrome plate in my next video!! Thank you!!!
Try using your poky tool from the back of the die its much easier than trying to pull it out lessoning the chance of the die cut tearing hop you don't mind me saying ?? Xx
Oh no I don't mind at all! It was just so tricky because those really strange tight places didn't have holes in the back right there! But! I did use my poky tool more after reading the suggestions! It really does help, so thank you!!
Oh how wonderful!!! A fellow Tennessean! I am so excited to meet you! Sweet Terra, she is precious! I am so glad you found me!!! Thank you for watching!!!
Ahhhh fragrance free! See, now THAT I wouldn't have thought of, either! I tried poking the holes in the die, but if you can see (it is tough from the video) at certain parts of the "r" in the word and at a difficult part of the tree, there is a lack of holes. Yikes. But yes, that does help when there is one! Definitely!
I absolutely think so! My next video I am going to try it out before I make the Valentine's tags! I was editing this video, when it suddenly hit me, "Maybe the dryer sheet was supposed to be DRY?" LOLOL!!! Oh! Well, we shall see!! LOL!!!
Can't wait to see the tags and the results! Also, I wonder if you dusted the die VERY lightly with cornstarch using an old scruffy brush, rather than dusting the paper, what the results would be.
You need to use dryer sheets that have been used and after you use them, then you use them as a layer put them through the Sizzix messing with the die and they don’t stick to the paper
Yes, definitely need to nudge the little thing outta there! I tried turning the die cutting side up as Candi suggested (below) and that helped so very much as well! Thanks everyone for all your suggestions!!
Yes yes! Like that "r" in congrats? The trouble I run into are when there are no holes at that particular spot? I try to follow the "groove" of the die with my weeding tool to reach those places. Any good tricks? ;) PS - THANK YOU for watching!! 🤗
To be honest, in order to use it, I have to wedge additional paper beneath in order for it to have a tight enough pressure. I know what you mean:) It is just such a noble concept (decrease wasteful plastic) that I can't give up yet LOL!!!
Oh my goodness, thank you for showing us all this mess and tricks too :)
You are welcome! I loooove the Big Shot! It has to be my favorite toy in the craft room! LOL!!!

Just a tip, to sharpen your dies you can cut through aluminum foil with them a few times, as needed!! Great video!! 😊😊
P.S. - I absolutely love your tattoo!! Thanks for the video ❤ Liked and SUBSCRIBED!! ❤
Oh my what a great idea!!! I didn't know that! I had heard you can sharpen Cricut blades like that, so it would make sense!! Awesome!!
@@TypicalStonely oh thank you that means a lot to me! I really appreciate it!! (I am getting a cardinal tattoo added in February I am excited)!! LOL!!

Ohhhh you made my day! Thank you so very much for your kind words!! You will looooove the Big Shot!!
Sizzix makes a crome plate especially for this problem. I have used it and it wks well for dies that don't cut well.

We are to use a USED fragrance free dryer sheet. And sticking a pokie tool into every opening helps to release the cut out.

I enjoyed watching and learning with you. I wonder if a used dryer sheet would have different results?

I can't wait to try that!!! I actually have a baggy of them by my desk now thanks to you all!! Thank you!
After you cut the dies, poke the hole from the back of the dies… instead of pulling the tree out. That would help. ❤
Yes, definitely need to nudge the little thing outta there! I tried turning the die cutting side up as Candi suggested (below) and that helped so very much as well! Thanks everyone for all your suggestions!!
Maybe try turning the die cutting side up and only one pass through? That seems to work well for me😊❤️
You know what?! I am going to try that! Because you know, his Bigz dies work like that very well! Oh thank you!!!
This also works well for me.
Guess what?! I tried that and it works wonderfully! I also re-watched how Tim runs his through, and he runs it face up like that! Ha! Thanks so much~!
@@nancymcquire4489 I tried that and it works soooo much better!! LOL!
Thank you!
Thank you for watching, dear!!!
Yes you need to get a hold of sizzix and tell them to make their dies not so difficult 😂😂😂
🤣🤣🤣 I sure do!!
Try putting a bit of cornflour starch on the die it may help?
I like that idea too! I was just surprised at how well that worked! LOL!
@@clemonscrafts I'm glad it did, it was just a thought too😀 wow now I'll give it a go too, lol.
@@kayenash5481 Yes, definitely! It was so fun doing this! LOL!
Maybe a sheet that has been through the dryer already. ?
I haven't tried that! LOL! GREAT idea! Thank you so much for coming by!
Try using,😊 used dryer sheet.
In my newest video, I finally did!!! Thank you so very much for your comment and for watching! I appreciate it very much!
Try using use dryer sheets 😊
I sure am! My next video I am going to do that! It didn't even occur to me until I was editing bahahaha~~~ Oh my! Thanks so much for watching!
It's best to poke those holes on the troublesome points.

I always drop my dies on the floor!

New here from Tx hi
Hello! Thanks for being here! I hope you enjoy some of these videos!!
Oh, dryer sheet should be used first to eliminate the residue.
Oh dear I am definitely doing that in my next video! LOL! I was thinking oh how silly of me not to have thought of that beforehand!!! LOL!!!
If you would use a used dryer sheet, it would not leave that film.
Gotcha! I was editing when I realized, hey, I bet the suggestion was for a "used" dryer sheet, not a brand new one~ LOL!!! Thanks so much, dear!
I sugest you cut the tree off from the bottom of the tree first instead of the top of the the tree.
I don’t cook either!!
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
@@clemonscrafts thank God for guys that like to cook!!
