Elden Ring PvP | Dune Fremen Fedaykin Build Invasions

- So now that Dune part two is finally here I caught the dune bug again and thought with Elden Ring's Shadow of the Erdtree DLC coming soon I'd dust off this build idea I had a while ago.
I had never fought with daggers before so learning how to do that was interesting,
especially since most of the time my brain wants to challenge everything with some kind of hyperarmor.
It's probably apparent that I'm much more comfortable fighting with a straight sword like the war hawk talon, which I picked out for this build both because it looks thematic and because of it's unique heavy attacks which hit twice, good for the bleed buildup and multiattack talismans this build uses.
I also had never really fought with curved swords before so I thought I'd try out the shamshir while I'm at it.
and if it wasn't already obvious, I decided to use Dragonmaw as the Worm because I thought it'd be funny.

Hans Zimmer - Gom Jabbar
Fatboy Slim - Weapon of choice

I never thought that music from skylanders swap force would feet perfectly in invasion sequence
People when they don't know who Fatboy Slim is 💀
🦶🏻🦶🏻🦶🏻🦶🏻🦶🏻🦶🏻🦶🏻🦶🏻
@thehenta1man It's actually an early 2000's rap song called "Weapon of Choice." the music video features Christopher Walken dancing randomly to the song for the entire time, and a lot of the lyrics include references to Dune. also keep in mind that Christopher Walken played the Padishah Emperor in Dune part 2, so it's another funny link to the recent movie.
Btw have you ever read the books? If not, the 6 Frank Herbert books are worth your time (even if after God Emperor the books get weirdly sexual) but all the books that his son wrote aren't that good.
Bro really hit a parry with a dagger and thought we wouldn't notice
it's the parry dagger???? what did you mean??? we noticed just fine
@@matheuskerr9222its got less parry frames than a bunch of other stuff, so its impressive
..We noticed
This was so well done! Most fun I've had watching PvP in a long time. Thanks dude 🙏
Dude sweet art brother man. Long live the fighters
Nice touch with music.😘👌
Can already picture Walken "walking without rhythm".
The erdsteel dagger looks very similar to the knives they use in the movie
I actually did start off the build trying to use a pair of erdsteel daggers but unfortunately stat wise they didn't work well for the build.
eventually I switched to the misericorde because it had much more damage than the erdsteel with the stat spread I had and it also has the best crit scaling in the event of a backstab or parry. the bloodstained dagger I paired with it simply to have a good bleed buildup option for dagger fighting without sacrificing too much raw physical damage.
First time seeing your content. Nice video man
Also love the music choice and really impressed with the thumbnail, good shit dude
@@MostBodaciouz Thanks!
Let thy knife chip and shatter!
That 35 sec mark is great. 👏👏👏👏
Nice eyes of ibad, well done
Bro is the lisan al Gaib
Epic vid 😎🙏
Dragon Maw fits perfect as Shai - Hulud , gj 👍
Nissan Al Gaib !!!
🤣🤣🤣🤣💯
The dragon head is a Shai Hulud reference? If it is then the Magmawyrm can also be a cool choice cuz as I know the sandworms inside is hot as hell
Yeah, I was using the Dragon bite and Gurranq's beast claw as Shai-Hulud themed attacks,
I also considered using the Hoarah Loux Roar but it would've been a pain to get it on this character.
but I hadn't even thought about the Magmawyrm spit, that's a neat Idea. I might have to experiment with it
Dune…Arakkis…Desert planet!
Really enjoyed this vid, you should have more subs
I'm paul maud'dib atreides, duke of arrakis!!
“ADAM RESHI AZANTA”
Even the taunt is spot on, where do you find that?
The Hoslow's oath gesture? if I remember right I think you get it from seeing Juno Hoslow do it when you invade him in the snowy mountaintops for the Volcano Manor Recusant assassination targets questline
I really like the intro! I’m assuming its a free cam mod. If so, what’s your experience with it? I’m hoping to use one for future videos
actually I play on Xbox, so that's just me finding a good rock to wedge the camera against lol
although I did need to use a friend as "camera man" for the dragon chomp shot in the intro in order to get the right shot.
sorry I couldn't really help lol
@@vennicerunnos nah its fine still raw as hell though
what armor are you using? I loved the aesthetic of it. excelent video!!
Thanks!
I'm wearing
Nox Monk hood (Altered)
Fingerprint Armor
Fire Prelate Gauntlets
and Bull Goat Greaves
in some clips I'm wearing the Black Hood instead but that's just before I realized the Nox Monk Hood would look better
Nice cosplay, well done
Very good 👍
as it is written
very cool
Sweet video you deserve more likes 💪🏻
what level is that build?
I have a 150 build on NG+0 and i find it is difficult to find invasions
This build is Lvl 166
your NG level doesn't matter, if you're NG+0 you can still invade people who are playing NG+7 theoretically
the only thing that matters for Invasion brackets is your level and your weapons upgrade level. (which if you're 150 should probably be 24/25 normal and 9/10 somber) also I guess location matters too, since you can only invade places that character has been.
I took a couple of my builds to 166 so I can fight 150's to around 200's usually people near the end of the game or in new game plus
but there's still some of the "boss door invasions" that you usually get near 125. and ganks can sometimes be more prevalent compared to lower levels
but at lvl 166, overleveled phantoms are less of a threat (still a big threat but the difference between your chances of success in a lvl 90 vs lvl 500 scenario vs a lvl 166 vs 500 is pretty drastic)
I play on Xbox so I dunno if that matters
I think all in all your choice of lvl range is really dependent on how well your build can operate of any given lvl range and who/where you want to invade.
I dunno if this'll help because I assume this is well known by most invaders but when you activate the bloody or recusant fingers and it says "attempting" instead of just "invading another world" then just activate the other Invader finger to spam searching for invasions
(or what I do which is find a completed boss arena or some other zone where you cannot invade and stand just outside of it and activate your Recusant finger, if you don't immediately snag an invasion walk into the "no invasions allowed zone" to cancel it and then walk out and try again until you get one)
LISAN AL GAIB!
That build rocks. Can I get the names of the weapons you used though?
Sure,
for the daggers I used a Misericorde and Bloodstained dagger
both occult infused, I tried a few different AoWs but mostly I used Parry on the left hand and then I settled on Beast's Roar on the misericorde so I had a chasedown projectile
for swords I used the War Hawk Talon straight sword Bleed Infused with either Spinning Slash or sometimes something like impaling thrust.
and the Shamshir curved sword Bleed Infused with Spinning Slash or Double Slash for a little honest rivers
and of course the Dragon Communion Seal for casting Incants and The Jar Cannon with Lightning and Explosive Bolts for long range stuff.
What armor are you using I can’t find the legs lol
Nox Monk hood (altered)
Fingerprint Armor
Fire Prelate gauntlets
and Bullgoat Greaves,
I use them on a lot of builds anyway just because big poise and they go surprisingly well with alot of fashion
but I thought the curled shoe tips particularly suited the Fremen's Arabic stylings
Aren't Bene Geserits supposed to have the force or somthin? idk I've never read Dune
lol, y'know they made a couple movies too tho right?
But yeah The Voice is a Bene Gesserit technique which is basically just mind control,
as far as I know none of the Fremen are ever taught how to use it (I've only just finished reading Messiah so idk about after that)
but I couldn't resist using Beast's Roar a little bit just for the joke.
(also as a little nod to David Lynch's Dune where they use weird voice activated sound blasters instead of martial arts)
@@vennicerunnos I see, so it's kind of like a superpowered version of the "divine right of kings" like Geases are in Code Geas?
@@Sleepy12ftPanda never seen Code Geass but after a quick wiki read... yes actually? kinda
The Bene Gesserit Voice is a trained technique though not a superpower.
Theoretically anyone can learn it but it takes a very precise control over your own nervous system and musculature, particularly in the vocal chords.
and I would compare the effect more to Kilgrave in the Jessica Jones series or Hitoshi Shinzo in My Hero Academia.
a short lived but powerful compulsion.
@@vennicerunnos Hm, interesting! So the only reason the Bene Gesserit have access to The Voice is because of their class? The reason why normal people can't dedicate their time into learning it is because they're too poor to afford the time to training.
@@Sleepy12ftPanda Well, It's more that the Bene Gesserit keep their techniques to themselves, they're a very secretive order.
Most common people (and even the high ranking elite) see them as a cult of secretive witches manipulating galactic politics from the shadows.
but publicly they are still accepted as advisors and intelligence operatives because of their skills and the leverage they exert.
head piece armor?
@@juni0r427 it's the "Nox Monk Hood (Altered)"
What head piece are you using ?
The Nox Monk Hood (Altered)
although you can see in some clips that I'm using the Black Hood that was before I realized the altered Nox monk hood would look much better.
@@vennicerunnos Thanks! Great video btw
LISAN AL-GAIB
What build is this
Keep in mind this build isn't like mathematically perfect, it's just what I was using at the time.
Lvl 166
60 Vigor
16 Mind
30 Endurance
19 Strength
34 Dexterity
9 Intelligence
25 Faith
52 Arcane
Rotten Winged Sword Insignia
Lord of Blood's Exultation
Starscourge Heirloom
Furled Finger's Trick-Mirror
you might be able to move some of the arcane points into dex for more flat weapon damage but I dunno
I have a bunch of builds and I don't remember if I had a specific reason for some of these numbers
I am pretty sure the strength + the starscourge heirloom gives exactly the amount required to use the jar cannon tho.
Armor name?
Nox Monk Hood (Altered)
Fingerprint Armor
Fire Prelate Gauntlets
Bull-Goat Greaves
Thanks you have earned a sub, just out of curiosity what are the swords name?
Yeah I was curious too
@@WhyIsTheRumGone69 depending on the clip I'm using either the War Hawk Talon straight sword or the Shamshir curved sword
لسان الغیب
What is the cosplay of exactly?
A Fedaykin from Dune..?
It's kinda in the title.
But I guess a very brief rundown is that Fedaykin are warriors of the Fremen people of the planet Arrakis.
Known for employing guerrilla tactics against outworlders who come to exploit their lands for Spice, a valuabe resource that is sacred to Fremen and vital to interstellar travel.
I recommend watching the two Dune movies by Denis Villeneuve if you want to know more and don't feel like reading the books they're based on (there are like 23 of them)
