thank you for keeping it real as it is. I love be a full time artist, but I also had to learn that it actually is a business - which comes with responsibilities - from health insurance to tax statements - In the moment I have for 2 weeks a student in 9th grade in my studio, (its a program they do in schools in Germany so kids can see which kind of job they want to do in there future - so they are for 2 weeks in a company office and such - she came to me and ask me if she can see how an artist day to day is) she actually is quite stunned that you have a hole "office part" to run aswell, from writing offers, to confirmation for commissions, preparing pick ups, accounting etc. - but I did not blown it for her, I just keep it real for her, and she still wants to follow her passion and be an artist.

I am currently experiencing this same exact dilemma and it's driving me nuts! I want to quit my 9-5 wfh job so badly and become my own boss, because this 9-5 life is not for me. It *does not* spark joy. It's too mentally and emotionally draining. Why am I working hard to make someone else rich when I can work just as hard to make myself rich and make my own dreams come true?
I have hoarded so many creative references and I have pages and pages of ideas written down, but my biggest struggle is consistency, motivation and the little voice in my head that tells me that I can't do it. I have tried so many times to combat these challenges, but I keep failing at every turn, and not having anyone in my corner to help guide and support me just makes me feel alone.
I am so glad that I *FINALLY* found someone out there that speaks from the heart and soul and is 1000% transparent in sharing their journey. I ran to the description to purchase your guidebook. I can't wait to start my own artist journey! 🙌🏾

@@justathought7221 🫶🏾 The bright light is the fact that your art has sold, you know how to do graphics (huge skill in this economy), and you started KDP. Starting is just the beginning. Once you release the fear and see it for what it is you will fly. Feel free to reach out to me via email or IG. I would love to see your work 💗✨

Thank you so much for your like. I’m thinking about moving out of the state and to a larger city with a bigger artist community. I’m right now just waiting on a part time position there to reply to me. And then I quit and move and just start new. And focus on the art. And just find a tribe. I’m on Instagram and I’m just seeing artist. Which is not really a tribe. Nice kind people. But artist. 😕 so anyway… im following you and thank you for the wonderful advice. I will check out your other videos. Thank you again 🙏🏼😇

wonderful testimony, The big problem is we are brainwashed from childhood, make lots of money you will be happy, (lawyer, doctor) the truth is be what God intended for you to be not what this world wants you to be. God gives us the desires of our hearts, but if the desire is ignored you are just surviving. The lord will make a way where there is no way. let God (Jesus) be your CEO. his small voice will be a loud testimony in your life. trust in him, faith without works is dead. God bless.

@@suzanzaman7942 ☝🏾You’re absolutely right💯 One thing I’ve realized is when you step out on faith and do what you’re intended and designed to do…money/resources will flow to you in unexpected ways. It’s an unconventional path for sure and this lifestyle is not the typical 9-5 model and it’s scary sometimes but when you work on that fear and start tapping in…it’s like you’re living in a different world.

I tried it and now I'm just struggle to pay the bills. My dream is just garbage. So not everyone can be a full time artist.

And the video is misleading... I am still waiting for how did it happened, is no different than what everyones says. Please,, say how. What exactly you had to do. How did you manage scheduling, finances, selling your art, diversifying your income, taking car of yourself, expanding your knowledge! Please, because saying I took care of myself means nothing, is so subjective. For one person that can look like letting go of worry and taking substances to another calling loved ones.

Jajaja nope I must disagree. Over 1 year and have not made enough money to even buy food. The depression has been more because of the fear of not having where to live than being able to expressed my art. So yeah. The economy is a real thing.
