Just picked up a 2023 c-class, with all options. I like the AR nav, I do wish they had allowed the AR on the HUD like they do the S-Class and upcoming E-Class (not sure why that function was specifically precluded from the C-Class for the package cost). I also find the reflections of the interior ambient lighting on the center display slightly frustrating at night.
yeah ... mercedes S / mercedes eqs / mercedes eqs suv , BUT it is also on other brands with way lower costing models so mercedes is dropping the ball : augmented reality HUD is on > audi q4 e-tron / volkswagen id.3 ... for real and NOT on your premium brand C class ... ain't that ridiculous / volkswagen id.4 / volkswagen id.5 / skoda octavia !!!!!!! / skoda enyaq IV / hyundai ioniq 5. It is my main reason for not going for the brand new mercedes glc ... it should have had that augmented reality hud.
VERY nice video and music!
Thank you 😀😀
@@crospotter13 I was today in a C-Class... and all the car was full of fingerprints after a while, which looked very dirty and absolute not nice. It was on the steering wheel and the big touchscreen... even on the seat heat on the door. Do you have the same experience? After i went out, i had to clean everything to let it not look dirty by fingerprints. That was really a bad experience... But the digital ight was awesome... really awesome.
@@tamgaming9861 hello, I keep the cloth for cleaning in the middle console and gently clean it every now and then to keep it clean :) also, I put the ceramic coating to the interior (seats etc) so that it's easier to maintain it clean :)
@@crospotter13 hello :-) what do you mean by "ceramic coating"? Is it a spray?
Wow🙋♀️🧸🎈🎈🎈🎈🎈🌹🌹🌹🌹🌻🌻🌻🌻🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷👍
I’m just got this car , is so nice car . I love it .
It really is, I already have 7.000km on it and it is phenomenal 👌😎
vrhunski izgleda, a za auto nemam rijeci
😀👌
What are those blue circles and dotes on top of AR dsplay
Going to order mine next week. Can’t wait!
congrats :) which spec will you choose?
Does it work when you aren’t using the native navigation? I mean, if you are using google maps or others does it still show the AR when you get close to a turn?
Didn’t try yet but I think not as this is the car’s navigation and AR is part of it. That is also why I don’t use Aplle Car Play as this is easier for travelling tells you exactly where to go
interesting for a moment, but i dont need this, i like to drive.
this is great for roadtrips when you are in unknown cities
What's with the Harry Potter / 90s Murder Mistery music?
Tengo un mercedes c300 2024, cómo puedo saber si tiene esa opción ? Como se llama? Gracias
“Augmented reality MBUX”, it is optional extra
Can you use this only with Mercedes built in navigation? Would you be able to get this AR while using apple play with waze or something?
AR is for Mercedes navigation, but on HUD I do have directions when using maps on mobile phone.
@@crospotter13 Thanks for the response, I really do appreciate it. You got yourself another subscriber.
thanks nice to hear that :) During roadtrips I find it nice to open the Waze app and set the alerts on, and then I move back to Mercedes navigation, and I have AR and view from Mercedes Navigation, and at the same time alters (such as speed cameras or objects on road or similar can be heard as Waze is on in the background). Other option is to Turn on Waze navigation (then the Mercedes navigation is not active) but you can put the Navigation view in front of you and have Mercedes map in front of you (but without active navigation) and Waze in the middle@@deenyc1049
@@crospotter13 Great ideas, I'll definitely try them when my new Merc arrives.
awesome to hear :) @@deenyc1049
does this come as default or option in c180/c200
it's an option (mine is C300 and I spec-ed it while ordering the car)
Like Need For Speed 15 years ago!
Does the AR comes together with the HUD only? I do not have it :(
It is part of extra equipment, i think sometihg like special mbux with augmented reality it said on spec list when speccing it
Augmented reality is not on the head up display, right?
Right, I think that is reserved for S-Class
@@crospotter13 aww, ic. I thought C Class has AR in HUD :)

I hope it can be switched off or only one color maintained.
Ever changing colors cheapens car apart from distraction from driving.
There are few views available, from minimalistic one with just your speed to this kind of view with navugation current speed and speed limit. It can also be turned off. It’s very useful on roadtrips especially in unknown cities
Not any more, MB can’t get the cameras, I was expecting my car ( new CLE) to have all this augmented reality, and the dash cam, they removed because supply chain issues and didn’t tell me, it’s just as well the car is nice to drive, otherwise it would have gone back, and you can’t even heat the car before you get in it, the pre-entry climate control doesn’t work, and you can’t start the engine remotely, that’s a step backwards for me, not a happy customer.
Who is that type of navigation for? Very distracting for the driver, and I think it might make the passenger feel car sick, looking at it for any length of time LOL. 🤮
it is actually very useful in unknown cities, helped me a lot during my roadtrip to Belgium. If you know the city then just put the minimalistic or standard view on HUD that has just the speed limit and current speed
@@crospotter13 Yes. I use my HUD mostly. 🙂
Yeah, great idea to have people take their eyes off the road when driving to play what looks like a video game..... Why isn't the HUD enough for direction? It clearly highlights where you are on the route as you drive it, there's no need for all this other stuff.
There is actually when you are in unknown city - it tells you exactly in which street you need to turn, very useful
@@crospotter13 so does the HUD. Like I already said. That's literally the whole point of sat nav, to tell you exactly which street to turn into. Lol.
@@mydogeatspuke try driving this for a day in unknown city and you will know what I'm telling you about :) if you have 2 streets in 50 meters augmented reality arrows point the exact spot to turn, standard sat nav is now that accurate, believe me it really helps a lot
@@crospotter13 you assume that I must not have ever in my entire life driven somewhere I don't know, otherwise I would agree with you? That's a very slippery slope. People have been able to read maps for, well, the entire human existence really. Before sat nav, we all had giant books in our cars and had to turn pages and look for roads ourselves, and we managed to navigate places we had never been before just fine. In modern times, if you have 2 streets in 50 metres, regular sat nav (or a HUD) shows a top down view and your precise location in relation to the streets so you know exactly which one to turn down. A large video game like screen with augmented reality is not only unnecessary, but also very dangerous as it requires the driver to take their eyes so far off the road they're not even looking in the direction of the windscreen. The whole point of the HUD being added to cars was to stop people from taking their eyes off the road to look at the sat nav, and now you're promoting going back to not looking at the road when driving. I know I personally would rather share the roads with people who are actually looking at them as they drive giant metal killing machines, but I suppose making it look like a video game also makes it feel like one, which isn't a good thing either. There is absolutely no situation where you could convince me that this would be a good idea, because unlike you I was alive before we had any of these things and know that we managed just fine.
