Now a real fun car is a M140i with an upgraded turbo at 700hp, it's so insane, I've been in one and feels like you are about to wrap into another existence (1000nm torque)
Yaz H was easing in the throttle after kick down but it's quite common for GTIs of that power to be quicker, lighter and less drive train loss. This car weighs in at 1620kg without driver
Yeah true mine is a edition 30mk5 and im surprised how quick it is compared to the newer hot hatches. I was looking at a45s for replacement but dissapointed in the speed slightly to be honest. It takes over 100bhp more for the A45 to be same speed rolling as my car it seems although the 4wd would make it grip alot more
Yaz H yes true, most modern cars are much heavier so quite a bit more power is needed, I'm sure if you rolled against a 300bhp turbo old civic it would be the same again. The chassis on the A45 is great though so on the B roads it would be much quicker plus 4wd launch is great!
I would imagine the chassis is great though yeah you are right. One thing though the turbo lag on the GTI is annoying lol takes 3 seconds sometimes for it to kick in. Whats it like on the A45 stage 2? Is throttle response still good or does it take a while for it to go?
Hi Matthew, It was raining one day and I did a Racestart on mine once in the wet and I saw a message "4MATIC currently unavailable". Since then the car doesn't feel the same like if you put your foot down with full throttle on Sports mode on the first gear it changes to second at 5,000rpm which is too soon and doesn't let me go closer to the redline. And also the Racestart never worked as smooth as before like clunky gearshift even lately on dry tarmac I saw a couple of times with the same message "4MATIC is currently unavailable". How can I fix this to be the same as it was? I thought you might know so I would like your opinion, do you know why that might be?I am worried I might have stuffed the gearbox or rear diff? They could not be that weak don't you think?
Hi Nick, Ahh ok yes race start is only to be used in high grip conditions. I would head back to the dealer and advise you are getting clunky changes and "4MATIC is currently unavailable" during spirited driving so they give the system a good checkover. I have seen the system get damaged through a series of low grip launches but not one so I think it will be fine. Cheers, Matt
I like the sound of the beast Mercedes Benz a 45 amg 💥💥💥

Bro if you like BMWs then why are you here commenting on a 10 year old amg video? 💀
Was that full throttle at 60mph or was it still building boost since my golf gti 350bhp is quicker 60-100 somehow...
