Many of the things mentioned in the song are still there in Penny Lane Liverpool.. The barbers the fire station now closed but still there the roundabout etc.. And it's written and sung by Paul McCartney
    .

Years ago, someone I know told me that the lyrics stating that the fireman, in his pocket, kept a portrait of the Queen, he kept hie fire engine clean-it's a clean machine. The Beatles acknowlged, {I'll keep it clean} that the fireman looked at the portrait and pleasured himself}. A few months back I heard the song and went to Google to see if it said the same thing. It did. I'm 70 so you can see how many times I have heard this song.

Penny Lane is a Street in their Home Town of LIVERPOOL ENGLAND 🇬🇧! They're just Introducing the World 🌎 to The Neighborhood they Grew up in. And along the way we meet, The Barber 💈, a Fireman, a Banker, and The Pretty Nurse selling Poppies from a Try!

" Penny lane " is a street in Liverpool UK, this is what the song was based on. " Paperback Writer " is another good one . They didn't look very steady on those horses 🙂 . Thank you for doing this one .

    Beat, syncopation...has it all.
There would be no contemporary music if not for the Beatles.
Sounds so fresh, after 50, 60 years.

I've noticed you only had one ear piece in . You need to wear both to get the mono sound , instruments in one ear and singing in other. Nowhere Man you'll love by them

Nobody else sounds like THE BEATLES because they were EVERYWHERE when it came to Their Creativity. They used Early Rock 'N' Roll, Soul, Folk, Psychedelia, Indian Ragas, Classical String Quartets, Symphonies, Latin Music [I'd be here for a while listing them all] - they even went into The Avant-Garde. Why do you think they are so influential? Anyway, nice to see You opening up 💕

"Penny Lane" is one of my fav Beatles songs, I just LOVE the story telling imagery.💕
I've never seen this video, tho... I'll have to show it to my niece, she LOVES the Beatles and she owns horses!
...Come to think of it... the Fab Four may be the Masters of lyric imagery:
    "YELLOW SUBMARINE"
    "ELEANOR RIGBY"
    "A DAY IN THE LIFE"
    "THE FOOL ON THE HILL"
    ...and Paul McCartney's:
    "BAND ON THE RUN"
    BTW, Honey...
Freddie wrote a song in honor of John Lennon:
"LIFE IS REAL" (The style sounds exactly like something that John Lennon would've written.)
After Lennon was shot, Queen also did a song:
"PUT OUT THE FIRE" ...advocating for gun control (The studio version has my FAV all-time guitar solo!)
There's also a live recording of Freddie/Queen doing a tribute to Lennon at Wembley Stadium, the day after he passed away, singing:
    "IMAGINE"
...and if you have this song on your to-do list:
"ALL DEAD, ALL DEAD" (The version with Brian May singing)
...The style totally sounds like a Beatles song! (Maybe that was what Brian was going for when he wrote it, IDK.) There's an ADORABLE animated MV about Brian's cat that goes with it.

That was Paul singing. A clue to the Beatles. All four wrote songs with John and Paul writing the majority. You can tell who wrote it by whose singing it. A beautiful love song Paul wrote for girlfriend at the time was "Here, There, and Everywhere". Also check out a John song "Dear Prudence". And a million more beyond.

Just came across your channel. Love seeing younger generation reacting to the music of my youth, the greatest of all time the Beatles. You’ve got a few songs to listen to, about 220, and that doesn’t include solo stuff. Check out Hey Jude Live, Let it Be, Don’t let me Down. I’ll be watching

Probably the most popular song by the Beatles is...
    Let it Be 😎

Freddie loved John Lennon and the Beatles...I love both groups...The Beatles influenced all music and popular culture...I love this song it paints a vivid picture of that area of Liverpool at the time...more Beatles, the greatest band of all time, but start at the Beginining. They periods of musical progression...start with songs like: THIS BOY, HELP, IF I FELL, FROM ME TO YOU, SHE LOVES YOU, I SHOULD HAVE KNOWN BETTER...there are so many great early songs...react to live versions or from videos from their fun movies , which are great by the wa,y but stop periodically so they don't get taken it down

ALL of The Beatles sing lead vocals. It depends on what song it is.This is Paul McCartney singing.the lead for this song. John, George and Ringo (The drummer), also sing lead vocals at times. And you need to hear some of their songs where they sing harmony. The Beatles were known for their beautiful harmonies. Especially when John and Paul sing harmonies together. Some songs that showcase their harmonies are: If I Fell, I Feel Fine, Ticket To Ride, We Can Work It Out, This Boy, Baby's In Black, Help, Please Please Me and I'll Be Back. Just to name a few.

Beatles are the greatest group ever. They had 20 something number ones hits and were only together 7 years in the U.S. Great reaction. Penny Lane is a Paul McCartney song. It Was Paul McCartney, John Lennon, George Harrison, and Ringo Starr. Paul and John Were the Co- leads, George was the best musician, and Ringo was the Drummer. Go ahead and react to Let It BE and Hey Jude

I love the way the Beatles kept their ''Énglishness' and didn't become "Americanised' like The Stones.
