Looks like a Whopper of a Battle rifle , mount it on wheels ? Could be my depth perception , rubbed my eyes , now it looks different

The ptr barrels have a hole in it which is similar to the m14 and f.a.l. and a.r. the gunpowder and carbon and gunk flies straight into the systems with them. If you don't clean them they get black inside all greazy and grimey. I've noticed it doesn't happen with ak's they leave less residue inside. the f.a.l. and ptr g3's and ar's will blow up if you don't clean them. If you get the brand new ak's now they go without parts breakage sometimes even past 20,000 rounds. Many rifles you'll blow yourself up if you fire it that much. 5.45 ak's are some of the coolest too in my opinion. I love the ones with green camouflage paint schemes.

I have cetme with 10,000 round and it only gets cleaned when accuracy goes down. No problem at all. It is dirty and if you put your finger inside the action it will be black.
I have a ar that who knows how many rounds it gets a bore snake pulled through the bore after a 3 gun or range day and couple drops if synthetic 10w30 it just keeps on going no malfunction that are magazine related.

@McHoosier have you ever thought of making a .224 valkyrie accelerator sabot round for your .308? I'd like to make 7.62x54r rounds that are tracer, incendiary, armor-piercing, accelerator sabots, hollow pointed, soft pointed, poison dipped, and full metal jacketed homemade rounds for my 8x50 so it can shoot tumbling bullets at extra velocity

the ptr does not have a drilled barrel, there is no gas system. it's a delayed blowback system, just a barrel and the bcg. they do get extremely dirty in short order, though.
