    Quick tip for anyone scrolling comments: I was in your place a few minutes ago. You decide to give up after the challenging 2nd measure with the 5lets into the herta. Slow down the video to 0.5x and work your way up. I went from not being able to play it to being able to record a clean rep at a faster tempo than written.

      @@marcushawkinsmusic 21 hours later and I have learned 8 of these 😂😂 I wish I had had these types of videos around in 2010 when I was just realizing I was good enough to audition for and March corps, but only had access to what was on snarescience. 💪🏼 keep doing your thing og! Guarantee you lots of kids and adults getting inspired by your videos

      Matched grip is objectively better. But ya'll can look nice if that's what you want

      Swaggy Pea easier to learn, easier to line up hands, better range of motion, and uses more focused, and broader muscle groups.

      @@cactusfishy1596 Depends on what style you're playing. Scottish pipe band drumming requires a much looser grip than shown here so traditional grip is better

      @@zhukie You can play loose without using trad. All about how you choose to approach the drum.

      Avery Bondeson I grew up watching HBCU’s but I’ve always marched and taught corps style (dci, wgi,DCA ,BOA...)

    Feedback - for me on my device the audio & video are hopelessly out of sync which renders the lesson useless to me.
    That may of course just be my device/pathway whatever; just so’s you’s knows…
