Wow, what an adventure. It is really stressful for you guys, but, this adventure is something you will never forget. You are so young, but, just think of the experience that you are getting. For the rest of your life you can look back at these videos and remember how you overcame the challenges that you had to deal with. Hopefully you work together as a team. Yes these times are stressful but just think, you could be old and have to be sitting at home only wishing you could be out exploring the world ( like my wife and myself dealing with serious health issues not knowing how long we have left ). For many people, they only have a short period of time in their life to live the nomad life. So take advantage of the time you have to do your adventure and do your best to enjoy it. I know that there are many people watching your videos wishing they could be in your shoes. And just think of all the stories you can tell your friends and kids about your Mexico adventures. Keep up your big adventure and don't let your set backs discourage you. Looking forward to your next adventure. P. S. Thank you for letting us communicate with you. It brings back great memories of our visits to Mexico. Also, we really enjoy the scenery.
Once again, great video. You guys are so cool with handling your RV issues. I'd be a mess and ready to call it quits. 😊 continued safe travels, and God bless.
Someone told me they put small blow up beach balls in the ends, not fully blown up of course, but enough to keep them from flapping around causing damage
I’m pretty sure your slide topper did not break the fiberglass wall. When you took the slide out, you had to push it? So, you have slide mechanism failure and the slide is putting too much pressure on the wall. Just my opinion.
Try to find some Eternabond tape to seal the crack and make it watertight. Getting water behind the fiberglass can and usually does lead to delamination which is the wrecker of RV'S. Even a little water is too much! I'm sure one if your fellow RVers must have some they can spare.
I think we might have something similar leftover from a previous project, planning to cover it up before any rain can get in for sure, fortunately don’t have to worry about much rain down here in Baja, but ya never know!
@@wildrvlife LOL.... you guys seem to have more bad luck than most so don't count on it not raining. Eternabond - if you've never used it is thick rubber like tape usually 3-4 inches wide and its so sticky its very hard to get off. Its typically used to repair RV rubber roofs and to cover over a tape down wires on the roof. It's a RVers best friend and should always be carried for emergencies. Good luck and thanks for all the entertaining content.
Hi guys...need to cover the cracks up...may let water in 😮...we have slide toppers...been in wind...maybe not that windy...haven't had that problem...you guys are handling things well..🤣...see you have got a lot sun...thanks for the video...stay safe..J&A 🙋♀️🙋♂️
Really enjoying your videos. I am sure your channel will continue to grow as it gets discovered. Fully with you on the slide toppers....waste of money in my opinion. for the few times that a branch or something serious gets on top of the slide, it is easier just to go up there with a broom. We camp in a lot of windy spots which is terrible when you have toppers and keeps the top of the slide clear when you do not.... As always, safe travels....
Thanks for sharing I have heard others say the same things about toppers glad mine coach doesn't have them. Hope yall stay safe and wow those roads are ridiculous...😂
You guys have a great attitude...regardless you go about your day and enjoy yourselves. you cant worry about things you dont have control of......If something breaks, guess what it can be fixed....thats part of rving......been there, done that, got the t-shirt
Cool ,good spot to hang out, roads are super busy in the next few weeks, big party here in mexico, lots of good kite schools in town or wing schools, enjoy
get some JB weld or a fiberglass repair kit for the crack. if you take the top0per off you may leak when it rains , you could wire it up under the RV because the frame might be expensive to replace the canvas is usely cheap in comparison. You were kind of fast on that bumpy road. your definitely not a overlander, they crawl threw rough areas.
So I'm in the process of gathering recycled materials to cut roofing shingles out of for a chicken coop build. Let me know when the RV hits total loss status, or when Craig gets frustrated, picks up the RV, and throws it.
Enough with the click bait titles...jk lol. If it makes ya'll feel better I sometimes injure myself in my sleep 😆. But seriously, the trip is amazing, and thanks for sharing.
Lol! Gotta catch people’s attention somehow 😜 although sometimes I wish our titles were a little more of a lie than they are and things weren’t actually breaking! 😂🤣
Slide toppers are problematic. I’ve had them previously and would not recommend them. They are just money makers for RV dealerships to keep repairing them
Oh man! Sorry you guys are having slide topper trouble. We know how you feel. Dealer installed our upside down which pulled away from the side wall allowing water to get behind the track. Thankfully, we found it before too much damage occurred. ruclips.net/video/KufOnHLPs9o/видео.html
Normal rv’s barely hold together on the road and you took yours off road, given the history of it you should not have… this is a costly mistake. Good luck getting home.
You need to stop your vacation. Get the RV fixed. You do not let a slide issue just keep going. It’ll cause sever damage. That crack needs to be addressed asap. It’s not funny. You need to take these things seriously. Insurance will NOT pay for that. Your looking at a couple of thousand of dollars to fix everything. Plus you don’t take slide toppers off. You need to fix these things as you go. Watch other you tube channels. Your RV is your home. The mechanics for your rv are going to lay into you for letting these major issues go. Don’t laugh take it serious. The hell with the hot springs. Get your rv fixed!
Hey, thanks for your concern! In some of our earlier videos, we explained that we are getting that entire slide system replaced. We already have the parts ordered, paid for and an appointment set to get it fixed back in the states. However, the parts were on back order so we couldn’t get it fixed right away. And yea, it will cost a few thousand to fix it. It’s an older RV so it’s not insurance or warranty paying for it, we are. And, the repair shop even told us that since we’re replacing the entire system, we can keep using it until it breaks, because it’s being replaced. They didn’t in fact, “lay into us” but it seems like we have you for that, so we’re covered there. 😅 I’m not sure what you mean about the slide toppers, RVs can come with them and without them, and we no longer want ours so we can take them off. Anyways, our general way to go about life is to choose joy and not waste energy crying and complaining about things. So that’s why you’ll see us still enjoying ourselves in the midst of our “problems”

I’m impressed by your ability to calmly handle one problem after another.
You went to Mexico to have a Hawaiian pizza? That's hilarious, but it looks delicious. My favorite kind of pizza.... ❤
Put some tape over the cracks. That way the air wont get in the walls while driving, it might separate the walls more from frame.
And stop the rain from entering and causing delamination
Good idea! We’re lucky that there is literally no rain down here in Baja 😅 but wind while driving could be an issue!
What about putting an inflatable beach ball under each end of the slide topper to stop the flapping
Once again, great video. You guys are so cool with handling your RV issues. I'd be a mess and ready to call it quits. 😊 continued safe travels, and God bless.
Thank you so much! It’s an adventure, that’s for sure!
Someone told me they put small blow up beach balls in the ends, not fully blown up of course, but enough to keep them from flapping around causing damage
I’ve heard that, but I also feel like we would find ourselves chasing beach balls down the beach with some of this wind lol

Agree 100%! One of your neighbors will have some Eternabound tape and be more than happy to share.

Yes! Definitely going to get something to seal it before it rains, luckily don’t have much of that down here in Baja! 🙌🏼
when you said hit the button at the end of your video it sounded like butoun
Can I say u guys got a tan , in Florida I'll be getting one soon so will be right behind you lol,
Great video! Craig, I agree about the slide toppers. I have had rigs that had them and rigs that didn't. I prefer not having them, too many issues.
The con’s definitely seem to outweigh the pros with them

I had a farmer friend who used an old camper for a chicken coop. 😜🤣 🐓
Should’ve stayed on Trk Route
But u in Authentic Mexican Food area 😮
That would tear the Camper
That’s a common place for cracks to occur.
That’s good to know! We hadn’t seen that yet, hopefully not a sign of anything too bad 😅
Good vibes 🥰🤙🏽🤙🏽
Thanks for watching!
They have different options now for slides and you dont have to have slide topers
What options?
In Ensenada near by wine country 🍷🍷🍇🍷🍇🍷🍇
Are you ever going to get a new RV?

No pineapple does not go on pizza 🤔🤭
I knew that would get some people riled up 🤣
Yes, it does with Canadian bacon!🙂
Pineapple and ham pizza is delicious.

If you put pineapple on a pizza, you should also put some sauerkraut on it! A local pizzeria did that. It’s awesome!
Van Life. Get some…. RV’s are Junk.. Have fun every day..
