As an ex pro coming back from 7 years out due to injury, got to say get involved with what The Hask is doing here. Seriously good info, got the lads in the club and at the gym checking it out. Properly comprehensive stuff. Just a look at these videos man-shames the boys into getting off their arses. Thanks James and the team, keep them coming!
I think the big thing i got from this is not eating enough. Sure I am never really hungry but I could probably eat a bit more if I pushed myself! I think the 4-6 small meals a day fits quite well
James, I am fifteen years old, 5'5, and around 105 pounds in weight. What I want to ask is: how can I perform to the best at flanker with nutrition as well as training for cross country too? I feel like if I gain weight for rugby; it will hinder my cross country, but I feel like if I am incredibly light (as I am) then I can't play my best at flanker.
Hask how many calories do you consume to put on weight a day? And how much does it cost you per week? Obviously quite personal questions but I'd really appreciate any insight you give me on this brother. Trying to make it in rugby, about to pop off to uni, so trying to figure out how much it will cost for good quality food for me to put on weight. You could message me if you don't want to post it. Thanks man, and well played on the tour, thought you were class xxx
+James Haskell Bought the hard copy on amazon, waiting for it. When I get it and read it, I'll do a video review (small channel at the moment, about 50+ subscribers..!) and write you a testimonial if this is something you think might be useful. Where did you find the information to edit videos like you do and build your channel Hask? Obviously some of it has come from your name/image, but a lot of it I'm sure has come from elsewhere? Cheers Cam
It is quite hard to gain muscle and lose fat at the same time. I recommend just going on a diet for a few months, getting your fat down (remember your body will always harvest your fat first) to the desired level and then begin bulking up again.

alright so im 6'2 230 around 21% body fat and I want to stay 230 but drop down to 14 15 % bdy fat, how much do I need to eat to do this?
Depends how much training you want to do, but i would roughly keep the same calories, but try cutting carbs more and eating more green veg and meat.
