Bette also co-starred with Humphrey Bogart in her very first movie "The Bad Sister" (1931) and "Marked Woman" (1937). She may have forgotten those two movies, at the time of this interview.
@@jackjules7552 Yes, true. She was the master of her own legend, after all. "Marked Woman" was far better than "The Bad Sister", but it wasn't one her stellar hits, either.
Tom Hatten brings back childhood memories for me. He used to have a live children's show on KTLA in Hollywood where I grew up. As kids we would go to the KTLA studios after school ( just about 2 blocks away) and stand in line to get on the Bozo the Clown's show. Tom's show was on before Bozo's but they would seat us kids during his commercial breaks so Bozo's much larger audience would be ready when Bozo went live. So we would see maybe the last 15 minutes of Tom's show where he dressed as a sailor and did drawings on an easel in between showing cartoons. This would have been in the early 60's so he was quite a bit younger at that time.
I wonder why Bette Davis came on some talk shows looking like 'this'. Her hair looks so dry that you could set it on fire with one little match. No eye shadow shadow and bad eyelash's. And maybe it's the old film, but her face looks like white powder 'as in Baby Jane'. Or maybe in this point in her life she didn't care that much. I know nothing about make-up and such things, but poor Bette looks so common here.
Priceless! Thank you so much for sharing these gems with us.
Thank you Alan for posting these videos!! ❤️
Wonderful. Thank you very much for taking the time to upload 🥰

Bette Davis may have wanted to forget all about The Bad Sister as she has many times stated that it was a terrible film and she was terrible in it.

Don't believe she forgets anything. This woman's mind was razor sharp. She didn't want her fans to look up her stinkers.

Omg never seen this. Bette before the stokes. ❤️
Eterna diva de Hollywood dos tempos de glamour .

My theory is that Bette Davis really shone in black and white. In colour, I feel she loses some of her star quality
