From what I’ve read, Little Walter did not do warbles by shaking his head. Rather, he did them by moving his tongue side-to-side, or by shaking the harp. That may account for the slightly different sound and “feel” of his warbles, as compared to the headshake method which most players use.
I’ve been doing warbles by moving my tongue side to side (or by moving the harmonica) but I always thought that the tongue moving was the wrong way or cheating if you wish, so I’m glad to hear your comment about it! Cheers

Don't most people move the harp to do a warble? That's what I do. (I think I'd get a headache moving my head.)
Hi landztranz, in my experience it's a pretty even mix, and some players do both depending on how they feel.
@@Learntheharmonica Tnx for setting me straight, Liam!
