  • Another trip on the kayak in search of a Chain Pickerel over 23 Inches long. As the temps are dropping the fish appear to be moving deeper and the bite tends to get better in the later afternoons. I also found that a moving tide brings a more consistent bite. This trip also proved that using a minnow while casting a jerk bait increased my chances of catching fish. When I wasn't catching a fish on a minnow I was able to catch on the jerk bait and vice versa. Unfortunately this trip didn't yield much in the way of quality fish as the biggest fish I caught was around 20 inches. Enjoy the fishing action.
