Senior officer Hotel Department with Princess here. A very concise and accurate description of reserve collection versus a regular mini suite. If you want to save a few dollars and you are Elite with us consider this. On the Regal you can book an MA mini suite which are right beside the reserve collection. You get the priority dis/embarkation already plus the complimentary mini bar setup. You get the evening canapés on formal nights. All you are really giving up is the reserve dining and the nicer bathrobes. Something to think about.
@freshlysqueezedtravels Great to have your reply. I like to watch videos such as yours to hear what people are saying. Glad to hear that you enjoyed the Regal. So you will be on the Sun from what port?
I'm looking forward to taking a mini-suite cruise on Princess next year. However, I am disappointed about one thing... The shower curtain! I love the various amenities that I'm getting with the mini-suites, but I absolutely hate shower curtains! 🤥
We did three Princess cruises in 2022 and each one (Ruby, Island, and Caribbean) we had Club Class. The locations (mid-ship) are awesome and easy access to everything on the ships. We love the cabin size and the full shower, plenty of room to stretch. The Club Class dinning was outstanding, we had the same staff on each ship and they really got to know your likes and dislikes. We will be cruising on the Regal in May 2023 and look forward to our Mini-Suite Reserve Selection (Club Class) cabin.
I have hearing damage and the lower density seating in Reserve helps me hear better. Having dedicated wait staff and immediate seating is nice. The 'extra' menu items are mostly forgettable. I don't mind if the extra cost is $100 or less per cabin per day. Above that, I grit my teeth and remember my hearing issues. I find Princess roughly equal to Celebrity and we choose between them based on ship and itinerary. On Celebrity, we always travel Aqua Class to get a less noisy dining room (Blu). Your presentation is also better than most of the "talking heads'. Keep it up.
We’ve cruised on the Regal Princess twice and had a mini suite both times. The cabins are comfortable for two and the room service was great. The service, quality, and value over all was excellent. We have another cruise, on the same ship, and are booked in a club class cabin on the 26th of February.
I took a Princess cruise on the Regal Princess on Feb. 26 and the ports we went to were ST. Thomas Virgin Islands, St. Martin, and their own private island that was the first stop. I'm guessing you were on the same cruise I was on. The weather was excellent.
We have cruised on Club Class and have truly enjoyed our experiences. The dining was great. The extra cost was worth it for the extra space and the perks. Majestic twice and the Royal.
Alaska Or Bust in June. We will be aboard the Grand Princess in a Mini Suite on The Dolphin Deck. I've been watching videos since January, I am so Pumped, looking forward to the Mini Suite and the Premium Package to go along and most of all Alaska.
Just stayed in Reserve MiniSuite on the Crown. Embarkation wasn’t fun, but the room and room steward were great. The dining was great food and great service. We’re doing again on the Regal next February
We will be on the Discovery to Alaska this August, we booked the reserved collection and purchased the premier package really excited after watching your video. Thank you for the to the point walkthrough of the mini suite.
We have stayed in a mini suite and loved it. We stayed in a full suite (by accident) which started us down a dangerous path. The reason I say this is because my wife had never cruised in anything except an outside cabin until she met me. We started with a balcony on Princess and a concierge cabin on Celebrity and moved up to mini-suite and suites. We had paid for two balconies. When my sister in law could not go, we cancelled the 2nd cabin. I asked about mini-suites /suites and I was the first on the wait list. When one became available, I took it. Since we had expected to pay X for two cabins, we decided to upgrade and splurge on ourselves. We received an aft cabin suite that was amazing.
I just stayed in a club class mini suite on Diamond Princess. I did not received priority embarkation and disembarkation. The line to board the ship on embarkation day was very long and I stood in line for 3 hours. I repeatedly asked the port employees about priority embarkation and they told me there isn’t any and I had to wait in line. When I asked guest services, they had no clue about priority embarkation/disembarkation. I even had to show them the flyer that said it was included with club class suites.
Ugh. That is not good. A three hour wait to check in is not a great way to start your vacation. Especially when you’re paying for club class. Thank you for sharing.
We did two cruises on the Golden Princess and the first time we had a balcony cabin for just mum and myself. We loved it but the next time we had my cousin with us so we got the mini suite. It was GREAT. So much more room. In saying that, the standard balcony cabin was definitely big enough with plenty of room. We are going this coming January and have booked a mini suit again as there are 3 of us in our cabin and 4 in the boys cabin. With so many, it is well worth the extra fares so have the room to move around.
We love Regal Princess. It was nice to see some of our favorite wait staff (like Mark) in the Club Class dining scenes. We do full suites now but of course that still comes with Club Class dining.
I sail in a Princess mini suite all the time. Love it. I have the Regal Princess booked for a Trans Atlantic cruise in October of 2024. Sailed on her once before in the Med.
Room service as we all know now is five dollars a pop regardless of your location. The preferred location on boardship is not next to the stairs where the suites are, very noisy and lots of traffic. I’ve been on Princess on eight cruises and I noticed when people come back after a night of drinking, it can get especially noisy in the hallways, I try to stay as far down the hallway away from the noise as possible. I’m on a mini suite coming up next week aboard Caribbean and princess for 16 nights exploring southern England, Ireland, Iceland, Scotland. I’m going to appreciate having more space for my friend and I.
I’m looking forward to our first Reserve Class mini suite on Royal Princess in a few weeks. I had a regular mini suite back in 2006 on Star Princess and it was great. Thanks for the great video!
Just booked a trip on Reserve Mini Suite as my first ever cruise (single traveler and like the mid ship aspect as I don't know what my sea sickness level would be at my age now). Wondering if there is any reason to get a full suite. Don't care about the "free" departure evening dinner in specialty dining (as can just buy that upgrade if want) or that spa thermal extra that I plan to purchase anyway. Is there any reason to upgrade other than larger room or the concierge lounge or priority excursion booking, like fun extras? I plan to book my excursions in advance, as I know from prior travel experience that most excursions NEED to be booked in advance.
In my opinion you made a great choice to stay in a mini suite. Full suites do have a few extra benefits but not worth the higher cost especially for a solo traveler. Here’s an article all about the perks. I hope you have a great cruise! www.cruisemummy.co.uk/princess-cruises-suite-perks/
Mini suite is our only cruise stateroom. Love the couch and extra space. Husband had mobility issues so spent lots of time on balcony and in our stateroom. We did Club Class 2 times, didn’t think the food was worth the up charge. we did enjoy no line but after dining early we found no line at MDR.
Love mini suites, for just a little more so much more room. We will be on the Regal Princess in the fall around the British Isles. Taking the Mother in Law, too.
I am currently booked for a Standard Balcony on Royal Princess in July of 2024 to Alaska. I've been invited to bid for a upgrade. What do you believe a reasonable bid would be to obtain the Reserve Collection Mini-Suite?
It varies by cruise line. Im not sure about princess. We have gotten a second lobster tail on Royal. But that was a while ago. Hopefully someone can give you more insight. Thanks for watching 😁🛳️
Couldn’t a work around on this being to have your dining partner order a lobster and you order a lobster? Especially if your partner doesn’t want lobster, then you get 2 of them (eat theirs AND yours) and order another menu item for your dining partner to actually eat. Does that make sense?
You have a very smooth and professional voice for narration. You should consider doing it professionally, if you don't already do that. Cheers from Vancouver.
This is the first time I book with Princess, and booked mini suite. Is reserve collection comes with mini suite booking or they are two different categories, if not can I upgrade while one week before cruise or at the first day of cruising.
I’ve only taken one princess cruise. From what I understand there are two categories. Mini suite and mini suite reserve collection. If you want to upgrade I would call before your sailing and inquire. I hope that helps!! Thank you for watching! 😁🛳️
Upgrading close to sail date may be challenging - as a rule the Reserve Collection cabins sell faster than regular mini-suites because of the associated benefits. Plus Princess now has a bidding option for upgrades which generally clear a week before sail date.
Hi! It varies greatly by the cruise. This four night sailing for two passengers was around $1000 total. Cruising is one of the best vacation values IMO.
@@freshlysqueezedtravels We usually go on Holland America. We are at 3 stars right now.We also have carnival stock which gives us an extra hundred dollars to spend on board thanks for the reply
I'm not a fan of Princess. I'm looking now to book something for January and I keep passing up Princess. I can book any other balcony on any other cruise line and get a sofa in my cabin. NOT with Princess. I have to upgrade to get a sofa. No thank you.

Thanks for the heads up about the priority disembarkation! That's a game-changer! 🙌

Wow, I didn't know mini suites on Princess were this cool! 😍 Definitely considering one for my next cruise! 🚢
We are hooked on Club Class with ALL of the wonderful extras. The Dinning is the best. We have been on 6 cruises and all have been mini-suites.
We have cruised on Club Class and have truly enjoyed our experiences. The dining was great. The extra cost was worth it for the extra space and the perks. Majestic twice and the Royal.

thank you for the information. We booked a reserved mini suite and wanted to check on all the amenities we should expect. Happy Sailings!

How was club class?
Mini suites are normally 26’ long by 8’ wide inside. The balcony is generally 8’ wide and can be as narrow as 4’ deep.
Just booked a trip on Reserve Mini Suite as my first ever cruise (single traveler and like the mid ship aspect as I don't know what my sea sickness level would be at my age now). Great job
Love the mini suite on Princess
Booked ours for Thanksgiving Cruise 2025!!!
Nice!!!! 😊
The only reason why I get a mini suite is for the extra space. I like room.
We dont have to have mini suites or fancy rooms on cruises. We just want a room with a little balcony and OUTLETS BY THE BED! 😊
Nothing wrong with that!
Doing back to back cruise next year 2024 - balcony queen bed on my own …
I am currently booked for a Standard Balcony on Royal Princess in July of 2024 to Alaska. I've been invited to bid for a upgrade. What do you believe a reasonable bid would be to obtain the Reserve Collection Mini-Suite?
Very hard to say. I usually bid $500 above the minimum. But there’s no guarantee. Have a great cruise!
Which princess ship were you on in this tutorial?
Regal Princess
I was on a Norwegian cruise. That was fun.
Hi! I’ve taken a couple NCL cruises. Thoroughly enjoyed. 😊🛳️
Going to be difficult sailing on Princess after staying in the Haven on NCL.
Do the reserve dining room cost extras ?
They don’t cost extra. 😁
The mini suite bed is so big you can have the 3 passengers in the bed
You normally get lobster tails on each formal night on most lines. Can you order a second lobster for no extra charge?
It varies by cruise line. Im not sure about princess. We have gotten a second lobster tail on Royal. But that was a while ago. Hopefully someone can give you more insight. Thanks for watching 😁🛳️

Are the tubs in the bathrooms big enough? Asking for a friend 😂
They are the size of a typical hotel room tub. 😁
11x Princess cruiser. Nickel and dimming new drink packages and ended them for me for now. Onto Celebrity
I think princess $75 a day package which includes up to 15 $20 drinks a day plus a lot of perks is a great value. Thanks for watching!
Does anyone know if the mini suites have good WiFi?
Princess has some of the best of any cruise line in my opinion. 😁
Is the narration overdubbed? The video and voice don't seem to be in sync with one another.
Hmmmmm … This video has been out for quite a while and the audio and video were recorded at the same time. Sorry you were having problems viewing!
Need a footer to indicate room service “for all” for free is no longer correct.
