Same here. I like way heavier music than this usually, but all music in the 80s was great. From all genres. Mid to late 90s everything started to suck with music (especially mainstream music) no talent anymore, no substance or creativity. It got way too corporate & about shoveling crap to the masses.

Knowing what I know now, Vinnie Vincent was a damn genius. Gene and Paul may have spoken badly about him but they didn’t hesitate to use him to write one of Kiss’ greatest songs (“Unholy”). VV knows what sounds good.

I was born in 89, never surrounded by people who listened anything close to this. Got to listen this song and love kills from Vinnie Vincent Invasion in high school in a CD called monster ballads or something like that.
Here I am at 31, listening with the same gratifying feeling that great music provides, back then all this bands put out so much great material. It's amazing how times goes by and less and less people appreciate this talent.

Incredibly articulate and well put. I myself am a product of the 80s, but didn't appreciate music such as this at the time. Now my musical taste is consumed by either legitimate melodic bands like this from the 80s, or contemporary AOR bands emitting and 80s-esque vibe...

I totally forgot that Mark Slaughter was in Vinnie Vincent Invasion. I knew it was him from the first note he sung. He has such a powerful and distinct voice. And I'm glad that Mark is back on the road with his band. Rock on brother 🤘

A perfect song from a perfect album. Composition and guitars are stuff of science and high artistry, solid rhythm, perfect vocals. I love the fact that in this one Vinnie does not shred - although I love VVI's shredful pieces equally. This song will never grow old, less beautiful etc. It highlights its own genre's best qualities.

One of my favorite power ballads. The 1980s had the best music and melodic power ballads. I love Mark Slaughter's vocals on this song. The vocal range is so beautiful. Guitar work is remarkable as well. Such a shame that it was difficult to work with Vinnie because I think VVI could have been a good rock band in the 1990s as well. They were so underrated.
