Embiid deserves more credit for this win. Not only did he minimize Jokic's impact offensively, it was when he started going offensively that Team USA started to close the distance and actually put them within striking distance. He didn't get the rebound, but it's difficult to rebound when you're defending Jokic.

Im glad USA won, but this game showed me how dominate Jokic is. There’s a reason why he’s a 3x MVP. You double him, he’s going to find the open man. Embiid deserves more credit for this win. Not only did he minimize Jokic's impact offensively, it was when he started going offensively that Team USA started to close the distance and actually put them within striking distance. He didn't get the rebound, but it's difficult to rebound when you're defending Jokic.
Completely agree with the effort especially on the rebounds. That was why Serbia got ahead. Serbia was playing much harder. US was just in the motion. Then in the 4th they locked it down while Serbia ran out of gas.

Im glad USA won, but this game showed me how dominate Jokic is. There’s a reason why he’s a 3x MVP. You double him, he’s going to find the open man. He knows how to use his body but also nifty enough to get to spots and make his own shots. Like he literally had Embiid, Davis and Lebron on him slick and he still made it a close game. Overall, I think the US underestimates the pride that these other countries have representing themselves and it shows. This is why alot of ex NBA players said that the league is too soft now. The current NBA stars are so used to the less physical game, and struggled against opponents who are more physical. NBA should consider making the game more physical and not call a foul everytime a defender touch an offensive player. Great game from Curry, LBJ, Durant and Embiid, but this might be the final year Team USA going to be a runaway favourite to win the gold.
